Hello Everyone!
It's time for another Tablescape Tuesday.
Our formal dining room is done in a traditional style.
It has cherry floors and two paint colors with a chair rail.
I have Waterford crystal champagne glasses.

Melissa, it's Gorgeous!! I love the chandy! The china is beautiful, you paid attention to every detail. Outstanding job! Kristen
MELISSA~ FOR YOUR EYES ONLY ~ Don't post, Sweetie!~~~ You may want to repost the pic here, reversing your flatgware placement... forks go on the left, knives (blade in) & spoons go on the right. (Your beautiful champagne glasses are where they should be). I just took a peek at your pretttty table, & as an Army officer's wife of 38 years, I KNEW you, as a Marine officer's wife, would want *(& need) to know! I won't tell anyone if you don't, kiddo! Mum's the word, ok? Warmly, your friend, Linda ("Mom of a German Shorthair" on RMS)
OMG you have one of those "Instant Messages", Melissa!!! (OMG again!!!) ~ Sorry!!! (Sheepish grin here... was TRYING to keep this "on the sly"!)~
Melissa, this is so beautiful! ♥ Diane
Hi Mom, Oops! I made all kinds of mistakes tonight. LOL! I couln't get this post right for anything. I kept deleting words and pics left and right. I'm sure I knew that about the flatware placement but I see I did it wrong on my last posting for TT as well. Double Oops! It must have slipped my mind or I've been setting it wrong all these years. Oh gosh I hope not anyway! Thanks so much for the visit and reminder. :)
Have a Happy Thanksgiving.~Melissa
Oh Melissa, your table is so elegant! Dinner served there will be so wonderful, enjoy!
Smiles,
Carol
Hi Melissa, this is gorgeous!!! Love the colors!
Melissa - your table top is beautiful I didn't even notice the silverware being reversed until I read someone's comment. I was too busy looking and enjoying how beautiful your dining room is.
I love the simplicity of the bows on the napkins and chairs. It is elegant without being over the top. The ornament gift is an awesome idea and I am so impressed with how you decorated your chandelier.
Beautiful - thanks for inspiring me to put more thought into my table tops.
Hi Melissa!
Thank you for the order for the set of leopard print ornaments. I'll try to get them shipped out on wednesday. Thanks again! Your dining room is gorgeous as is your tablescape. I'll be posting mine in about 30 minutes.
Hi Melissa, Do not feel bad one second about placement. I posted a tablescape where I had the iced teaspoon mixed in with flatware...I think I put in between the knife and the spoon. Anyway, I've since read you present them with the tea is served, if they are needed. Plus, I asked Miss Janice at "Etiquette with Miss Janice", and she told me you can place them on the table resting on a knife rest, kind off to side. So...trust me...we ALL make these little mistakes. But who cares...it's all for fun and play! Right? We are too busy looking at your gorgeous dining room and tablescape to notice the little silly stuff...so don't you waste one moment worrying! :-)
Elegant doesn't seem like a good enough word to describe your gorgeous tablescape! The gift ornaments are a nice thought too.
Great job... ;-) Bo
Beautiful table! Your dining room is gorgeous!
I don't care where the knife and fork are as long as they are within reach. Your entire dining room is enough to make me drool.
I love it all, and that lovely angel in the center is the perfect thing for a family gathering, to keep us mindful and thankful.
Good morning sweet Melisa.... what a beautiful dining room your have... very elegant... Your tablescape was simply exquisite and I would love to be sitting at that table with you... Thanks and have a great day...
(((HUGS)))

Even though I'm a home economics major I wouldn't have spotted the flatware being out of place. So much else caught my eye. You have a gorgeous dining area to create this fabulous tablescape in! Enjoy...
Melissa, this is absolutely gorgeous! What an elegant and inviting holiday table in an elegant and inviting dining room! So many special touches. I love them all! laurie
p.s.: A home ec teacher once taguth me to remember knife on the right because "knife" and right" both have 5 letters, and fork on the left, because they both have 4 letters. I have to count letters every time I do a place setting!
That is amazing. Wish I could over and eat. You are so talented.
Oh girl, you have pleased my eyes today! That table is gorgeous! Have you seen those photos enlarged? Love the angel holding the tassel & the T.K. ornaments are perfect. Looks like the queen is coming for Christmas at your house! You go girl!
Melissa! This is so beautiful! You've done an outstanding job. Your table is so very elegant!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Hi Melissa! WOW! I love it! I enlarged the pictures and everything is soooooo lovely! Even the paint choices on your walls. You have a beautiful table and a beautiful home!
Melissa - so, so pretty. The gold is very elegant but yet your table doesn't look stuffy. I promise after things settle down I will get with you and we can meet for coffee, etc. Your home is just lovely and inspiring! Blessings, Barb

Melissa, You are just too awesome for words! I ordered the tree!!! I updated my blog post with a picture too. Whooo Hoooo!!! ☺♥☺ Diane
Gorgeous! It's so elegant. I'd invaribly spill something on myself or blow my nose into one of those lovely napkins.
I don't get to town much.
Beautiful tablescape, Melissa! It looks very festive and formal and guests will feel very special dining here for sure. And how thoughtful of you to give them Thomas Kinkade ornaments! You are the most gracious hostess. Your dining room is beautiful as a whole, you picked just the right colors....Christine
ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING.EVERYTHING IS SO ELEGANT.AW----------ANN
What a priviledge to sit at that table. :-) I love how it tones with your room so well. Gold and ivory are such a classic match. :-) i've not yet decided what crockery to use here. The Doulton would be traditional, but I don't yet know what our theme will be. Lasy Christmas it was Cluedo (Clue) where we dressed as a character from the game, made a body etc. if we do go with the Mikado idea, I thinkwe'll have to use the oriental set. LOL Ooo decisions decisions.
The warmth and love you have for your house is a pleasure to share. Thank you Melissa.
This really is lovely! I popped over from a link on another blog, and I'm so glad I did. Your colors are so Christmasy, and I love your beautiful Waterford goblets. Marvelous job!
XO,
Sheila
Thank you Glenda!
You are so kind.

Hi Melissa...Just stopping by to wish you and your family a happy Thankgiving. Give Chestnut a hug for me...Debbie
Hi Melissa, Thanks for stopping by, Kevin (hubby) says everyone is going to be tired of pictures of our house. LOL! I don't have a lot more to show you. Just the kitchen and outside, when I get that done. I'm like you and still have my fall wreath up. Well, it's still fall, but when you have a christmas tree up, hmmmm...... HeHe. I did get your e-mail. I hope you found the storage bins. The christmas swag is a little longer and I was going to tell you when it arrives, just straighten out the bottom. The box was almost long enough. I tied it in, so it should look fine when you get it. Have a great thanksgiving. I put off going to the store until tomorrow. Uh Oh! I just have to make a fruit salad to take to my aunt's. She's a cooking teacher so she always has a wonderful meal. I hope you don't have to slave to much in the kitchen! Talk to you soon, Kristen
Beautiful table. I love the bows on the chairs.
What a beautifully elegant table! Your home is beautiful, too...very warm and inviting!
My 30 year old daughter has been setting the table since she was a toddler and we still have to remind her where the flatware goes!!! :) she has more important things to be thinking about...like not breaking the dishes!!!
Thanksgiving Blessings~

Hi Melissa! Your room looks so beautiful and elegant and peaceful. Just the right touch of glamour to enhance the food but not overwhelm the senses! It looks amazing! :) ~ Laurie
Hi Melissa,
I'm so happy to hear the pumpkin cookies turned out well! I made them yesterday, had trouble with the icing again... This happened the last time I made them, it's user error, but aggravating nontheless. Next time I make them, I'm going to chop some Emerald Pecan Pie pecans & add them, tehn skip the icing! ☺
Diane
Good morning Melissa, thanks for swinging in for a visit.. it is so appreciated..hugs ~lynne~
