This is beautiful Melissa. Are the photos from last year or are you one of the very organized ladies I've been visiting this week?
I bought a 9 ft Bethlehem Lights slim tree from QVC last year & just loved it. It was so much easier to move around.
I'm looking for a white tabletop tree for the sideboard in the entry & it's not a hot item this year.... I may have to rethink my plans. :0} Diane
Absolutely beautiful. I'm amazed that you are already so far along.
I'm feeling good because I hit the Macy's sale today. Woo Hoo!!
Wow...Melissa...your tree is gorgeous! I just started getting my decorations out. Now I'm inspired to get going! Beautiful posting! Susan
Hi Melissa, I will be participating in Trim the Tree Thursday. Sadly, it will be pics from our old home since this is our first official Christmas in our new home. I can't wait to decorate in this home!!!
I also nominated you for a Kreativ blogger award, I just love your beautiful home!
Karen
Wow Melissa...It's gorgeous! I love the tree topper. The garland on the stairs is beautiful! Did I understand corectly...it came that way? That's what I need. I haven't done a thing yet. My sister starts in October and calls it her dirty little secret! lol I am enjoying looking at everyone's decorations so maybe I will be inspired to do mine. Thanks for sharing...Debbie
Oh, Melissa, the tree is stunning. The colors are so rich and warm and work well with the room. Just gorgeous~
Everything looks so festive and pretty. I'm wanting to put up my Christmas decor, but I have to wait until after Thanksgiving. If I started now, I'd never get ready for Thanksgiving. laurie
Melissa, your tree and decorations are absolutely gorgeous. I love the red. I am thinking of doing red in my family room this year...you inspired me!
Hello Melissa,
I love your traditional warm reds. I gravitate toward these colors too for our decorations. I'll change things up for some of my table setttings but am alway pleased with red on the tree :0)
Just beautiful, Melissa. I've bought a bunch of stuff last night to attempt to make a garland for my huge staircase, but I know it won't look that good. I'm in between putting up Halloween & getting out Christmas....I just jumped over Thanksgiving altogether! I thought you were in Fayetteville, but I see you're in Jax. LOL!
Wow Melissa your decorations are beautiful... I just love your tree and staircase... The reds are so festive... It sure beats the little 3 footer I put up in Tassie... LOL LOL
Have a spectacular day!!!

Wow, how gorgeous everything looks!
You have really been busy! I haven't started on Christmas decorating yet, but will be getting to it in a few days.
Carol
What a great blog you have here :)
I have always loved Red. This is simply gorgeous. You have outdone yourself. Hugs, Rita
Gorgeous Melissa! You did a fantastic job on everything!! You have been busy too. Your tree is outstanding! I worked today from 1:00 to 9:00 on a house. She had me running all over for candleholders for the mantles, and I had to make an arrangement for her china hutch, it was another busy day. I have a big one tomorrow then I'm done for a while. One lady cancelled due to construction, I'm kind of glad.He He. Your decorating really is beautiful and elegant. I will probably post my house this weekend. I do a little bit of everything. Do you do anything in your kitchen? Would love to see it if you do. Kristen
I adore red and my tree is usually features red decorations and red and white candy canes. I love the bow topper and might have to replace my crochet angel this year with one of those gorgeous plaid bows.
I love festive garlands on stairs, too. Your home is so pretty Melissa!
Gorgeous red tree, Melissa!
Holiday Cheer...
Kathy
What a beautiful christmas display.....I've gotta get on that at home. No time though, since we're still busy shipping our poinsettias out of the greenhouse. At least another 130,000 pots to go before the tree goes up :)
After this week I'll be joining you on Trim the Tree Thursday. But, I have to tell you, your decorations are out standing. The garland on your staircase is so beautiful and your tree is picture perfect. You must enjoy your beautiful home so much, I know I love it. Thanks for giving us a peek.
Hugs,
Chris
Just beautiful...I love all the red
Just beautiful!
Hi Melissa, You have inspired me to get it done! I just don't have time yet, but I will next week. I think your tree is beautiful! Nancy
Stunning decorations Melissa! I can't believe so many people already have their Christmas decor already finished! I haven't even started. I'm feeling a little behind. Oh and no, that was not my cat with the deer...just a cute pic someone shared with me last yr.
Absolutely picture perfect! I used to like the biggest, fatest trees for Christmas...but not anymore...I love the slim ones like you said they're much easier to move around. You've done a beautiful job! ;-) Bo
This is beautiful Melissa..It's sure putting the fire underneath my feet to get started..ummmm possibly this w/k...lol However, I normally don't start until Thanksgiving night...
I'm not creative enough to come up with all these things. I did include the pictures.
How beautiful and festive, Melissa! I keep telling myself I won't decorate for Christmas until we come back from our Thanksgiving trip but everytime I see homes with Christmas decor, I get so excited and I have to keep containing myself...Christine
How beautiful! I love the way you've done your stairway garland!
Everything looks just beautiful!! I have the tree up. I'll post in within the next couple days.
Hugs, Terrie
Your home is beautiful! I love your Christmas decorations, especially your mantel!

Hi Melissa..thank you for allowing me to come in from the cold and enjoy your beautiful decorations. Santa will enjoy coming to your house. Thank you for sharing...:)EllenL
How pretty Melissa!! I love all the colors and you can't beat a tree that has the lights already on it - our tree is like that and it saves me so much time!! I can't wait to get my stuff out!
Lynette
Melissa, Thanks for your concern. I am getting.. much better!! I still have frozen shoulder. It takes time, I guess!! Shhhh... I have taken sleeping aids for the last tree nights. It seems to help that I'm getting some sleep. I get bored and try to put up Christmas decor. I have most of it done.
Hugs, Terrie
Your house is beautiful! You have inspired to get my decorations out of the attic!
Hi Melissa!
What a beautiful tree, and also staircase and mantel accents. You did a wonderful job making your home look festive!
I love forest green, bright reds and gold's when I decorate for Christmas.
I've been collecting glass Santa Claus ornaments and crystal ice cycles for years, so they predominate on my tree and give it a sprarkle. I buy a real pine tree, so I usually wait until the week of Christmas to purchase it and decorate, but I do decorate the rest on my home before then.
This year we will be spending the holiday in Denver visitng my son and DIL and new grandson -- still awaiting his birth - any day now!
Hugs, Pat
Hi Melissa...
Girl, what a fabulous Christmas tree...I still think that the traditional Christmas red is my favorite for decorating trees...I love your big, red plaid bow topper...gorgeous!!! Hi Melissa... Do you know that Jeanette (jfell from rms) is going to be on the TV version of rms tonight? Her gorgeous kitchen is one of the inspiration room! We're all excited at Micasa. Won't it be fun? Hers stayed on the front page forever. It's gorgeous. Just thought you might want to know...Debbie

Good Morning, Melissa! Your tree and other decorations are FABULOUS!!! Your home is gorgeous! My MIL lives in Ogden, (right outside of Wilmington towards your way), and loves to go to the pottery in Jacksonville. She has found such pretty things there! :)
Hope you have a great weekend! It has turned really cold on us hasn't it? LOL! We had tiny snow flurries Tuesday, I believe it was.
~Rhonda :)
Wow... I am gobsmacked, now that is what Christmas should look like, it is so magical yet warm and inviting!! Great job, thanks so much for coming by, I hope you will stop by again.P.S. I have a brother in North Carolina, he was just here for a visit last month!!
Hi Melissa, thanks for stopping by! The ting ting is really pretty and sparkles alot! I don't know of any other way to do the lights. Hmmmm..... Do you not have a plug nearby where you can run the cord at the edge of the carpet? My parents have the same problem on one side. I just had to use battery lights. No other option. I hope you can figure it out, but if not, it's still beautiful! Kristen
Echoing what so many others have said, "Just beautiful!" I love the tradition look. It all just looks like a page from a magazine. Thanks for sharing.
Lovely, lovely! I am soooo far behind. I just got out my Thanksgiving dishes and you've got your tree up and your lovely home decorated. Now I am depressed. Thanks! :-) BTW, you are a gal after my own heart - I love plaid, too. That plaid ribbon caught my eye right away. Happy Thanksgiving! Blessings! barbgarrett

Melissa, I took the day off today to try and get some of my work done at home. I did finish the dinning room "all done" "all decorated". I decorated the office and it's "all done".
Decorated the fire place mantle
" is't all done" The great room tree will be up tomorrow (where the fire place it).
7 More rooms to go!!!!!!!
I'll be done by next week-end unless my sister comes to help me.
She called and wants a couple fo arrangements made and some bows.
I told her yes but I need help getting the tree up in the sitting room; so maybe a trade off here.
Happy Holidays

Hi Melissa! So glad you left me a comment so that I could find your beautiful blog. Love your christmas decor! Looks beautiful and don't you just love Martha Stewart?! I am anxious to start my holiday decorating but a few family obligations (i.e. 11 year old's slumber party - oh so important!;) have to take priority!. I read about your mattress woes too. I miss my Pillowy Mattress, valleys & all! Just don't send the husband ALONE to do any shopping! I don't know what happened - I never do anything so foolish - must have been the cold medicine I was on!;) But anyway, glad we got to "meet". I'll be visiting again soon. ~ Laurie
GM Melissa...thanks girl for coming by my PINK Saturday..and I am the Queen of Pink..have a great weekend ...hugs and smiles Gloria

Hi Melissa, I uploaded another swag on my Etsy store if you would like to take a look. Kristen
Hi Melissa, I'm glad you like the swag, I think you will be pleased when it arrives. It will look perfect on your pantry door! The ribbons and ornaments don't show up well in the pics, but they are really pretty. I will ship it out tomorrow. I'm not busy anymore, we had a house scheduled for tomorrow, but she canceled due to construction. I will be doing my parents house and a few other small jobs, but the big ones are done. I am getting ready for a christmas show I'm doing Dec. 5th and 6th. It should be fun. This is the first year I haven't worked (at a shop) so I feel so free and relieved! I actually get to enjoy the holidays this year. Thanks so much for your business and friendship, Kristen
You're too sweet! I have LOTS of christmas "stuff". I already dread putting it back up in the attic. That's pretty bad! He He. Kristen
You did a wonderful job, I love your colors, which are the same colors I decorate with. Your tree is so pretty and I love the stair way and the garland and bows.
Hi Melissa, Sorry I am just now getting back to you! Hectic around here getting ready for Christmas! LOL!
No, I don't live in Jacksonville, but on the other side of Wilmington in a little town called Whiteville. I am about half way between Wilmington and Myrtle Beach. My MIL lives at Odgen and is a free-lance court reporter, so she is up your way quite often. We also have a business in Wilmington, my husband commutes everyday!
Hope you have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving! :) ~Rhonda
Very pretty....I love your colors. You are super talented.
Hi Melissa, I shipped out your swag today. The guy said only 2 to 3 days. Hopefully he's right. You should get it either Wed. or Fri. The last one took a week, hmmmmm..... Well, we will hope for Friday. Thanks again, Kristen

Melissa your tree and stair garlands are just beautiful, I am a big plaid fan being married to a scot and I really love your drapes behind the tree, I have my tree up and am just about to decorate it, we also have reds and golds, but I like to add a touch of whatever colour is "in" at the moment, I have seen a lot of lime green about this year and it looks so fresh. Kathy.
Looks as if you are well into the spirit! I believe your home is so warm and cozy!

Holy cow. Your decorations are perfect, like out of a John Hughes film.
