My Boys

Hello Everyone!
I would like to share my boys Bear and Teddy with you.
They were shih tzus and they were very sweet boys.
The five year date of their passing is approaching soon.
They were such good dogs and loved each other too.
I had them their entire lives together and when
Bear died Teddy went rapidly down hill as well.
He knew his buddy was gone. It was sad.
I love you and miss you both every day.
Here are Bear and Teddy.
We have not added another dog to our family as of yet.
Have a wonderful week!

Hi Melissa, I'm sure you miss those little sweeties like crazy! They were precious. Teddy looks alot like Sassy. Before Sassy, we had Romeo....I was putting up the Christmas tree 3 yrs ago and he ran out and a car hit him. It was just awful. then I got Sassy and she really did help me to get over Romeo. I still miss him though, the other day I came across some pictures and got really sad. It's so hard when a pet dies. Maybe you will be able to get another dog soon.

Thank you for the Mom award! It was really sweet of you to think of me! I will post it soon. Kristen

Thank you Melissa for the award. I have only one grown son but he is the pride of my life.

I understand about your fur babies. We had two cats one lived to the age of 19 and the other to 13. Our 19 year old died fhad to be put to sleep because he stopped eating and was wasting away. The vet didn't think there was anything to do because Madison's organs were failing from old age. Within 3 weeks our other cat, Fluffy, died. He was terribly depressed and listless without his nemesis. We've always thought Fluffy died of a broken heart. We haven't added another pet either and it's been 3 years. We still miss them.

Melissa, what an honor that you thought of passing this award to me. It is such a special award, and I cherish it, and I cherish you for thinking of me as a good grandmom. Reading about your dogs brought back some memories for me. I lost 3 dogs in a year. 2 of them I had taen home with me after my mother's death. They were such close companions-always right together. After the first one died, we realized that the second one had severe vision problems. She had just followed the first around, so none of us (including her vet) realized that she was having so much trouble. She didn't last long after her "sister" died. It took a long time after that for me to decide I was ready for another dog. We now have an English Setter, and she is a wonderful companion. laurie

Hi Melissa, Thank you for the award today. I will pass it on in the next few days, as I need to go to bed.. . now. I don't type too well at this hour -- I'm sure you understand that one.
A Mom award is more important to me than anything and I am so happy to receive it for that.
Losing an animal is almost like losing a limb. They are always there for us.
So loving and smarter than we think. Will be thinking of you. Talk soon, Connie

Melissa, thank you for this special award, and this one does mean a lot to me. Your babies are so precious. I just heard this morning, on the news, that Shih-stzu is in the top ten of most popular dogs.I am so happy that we have Casey now, but it took us 2 years before we could take the step to fill the void.Someday, I'm sure you will do the same thing. I also wanted to thank you for your visits and kind remarks. I'm very grateful to you.

Hugs,

I loved your little dogs.... The time will come for you to get a new one... She is 10 now and w wonderful dog... Anywho... Thanks again for the award... I love it. Love Ya

Oh Melissa! Thank you so much for this sweet award! Being a mother and grandmother is a reward in itself...including fur babies! At least they don't sneak out the window and TP the neighbor's yard! lol Your babies look so cute. They leave a hole in your heart when they're gone, don't they? All I hope is that when I walk through the Pearly Gates, my whole herd of cats comes running to see me again!! Have a wonderful day! Hugs to a special fur baby mommy and to Mr. Chestnut...Debbie

Hi Melissa - thanks for the award and for thinking of me. Babies are babies. Before Cole came into my life, my four furrbabies were treated better than royalty. They still are, but I'm sure they don't think so sometimes. I think they dub Cole "the little terror." LOL So, "babies" come in all shapes and sizes. :-) I know the sadness you feel over your little lost souls. I have a special baby I lost years ago and he is still dear to me. I have a diabetic cat and she is not doing well, and I am not sure she will live much longer. I will be a crying wreck I'm sure. Have a great day!

They just love to go traveling.I am sure you miss your babies. I am so.. sorry you lost them both. Do you have plans to get another doggie any time soon?? I am sure you are a wonderful mommy!

Melissa - yes, we live in HF. You have a good memory. Our home sits off the road and is surrounded by tons of foilage - which will hopefully be lightened soon. Too many azaleas. ugh! Ours is the biggest lot here with almost 5 acres. We did not overly care for the house, but we fell in love with the lot. It has taken us 5 yrs and a lot of work but now we finally love the house, too. I know you are on pins and needles waiting to hear about your orders. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Hey did you hear New River Pottery is closing? I guess another economy loss. So sad. Have a great weekend, can't wait to see what u post on Whats on Your Walls Wednesday! Blessings, Barb

Melissa, of course fur babies count. I'm sorry that you lost your precious babies, it leaves such a hole in your heart and life. We lost our 3 dogs within 2 years 1 was 20 (!), 1 was 16 and her son was 13. It was devastating and we still have not gotten another dog. But we have the world's greatest cat haha. When you are ready, the right one will come to you. Until then, hold tight your memories of Teddy and Bear. Kathy

Melissa, ongratulations on this award,I completely agree that being a mom to fur babies counts just as much and thank you so much for thinking of me and passing it on,I'm sincerely touched. My kids (fur and human) mean the world to me as I know your fur babies past and present mean to you.Teddy and bear, aww, cute names and they were adorbale,so sad that you lost them both and so close in timing, that must have been so awful for you.The worst part of love is having to let go,isn't it?We have went through that with 3 dogs and now we have 2 more.I didn't think I wanted to go through that again,it hurt so much but I am glad we adopted Cloud and Roxy, they add so much to our lives. Now,I better not start bragging about my grandchildren cause I won't know when to stop.:)((((a big hug for you Melissa))) I'm so glad that I have had the opportunity to get to know you! your friend in the north, cyndi

Thank you so much for the honor of this award, Melissa! It is a very touching one and I feel so grateful you thought of me and my grandson Leo.

I do believe our pets are so dear to us as children, as they depend upon us for all their care and nurturing, so you certainly do deserve the award too! I know how much you must miss Bear and Teddy -- what sweet Shih-stzu they were! We had a 18 year old cat pass last year which broke our heart. They are so much a part of the family.

I know a few bloggers in mind who I know particularly deserves this award, so I'll pass it on in a few days as soon as I can catch up.

Thanks so much!
