Pink Saturday

Hello Everyone!
This is my first time joining in with pink Saturday.
Visit Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for more.
I must admit I have almost no pink.
I had to think really hard.
Then I remembered the angel I received as a gift years ago.
It's called Light in the Distance and she is a roman angel.
She was made to support the Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
The proceeds all went to this great cause.
Many of us have been touched by cancer in some way.
I thought I would share her with all of you.
She is holding the torch up in the air to light the way.
The word seraphim by wikipedia definition
is the highest order of angels with 3 sets of wings.
The word literally translates to mean fiery ones.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner just named their new
baby daughter Seraphina Rose Elizabeth. Isn't that pretty?
I did find my perfumed pink candle as well.
The last edition of this particular angel was made in 1999.
I feel lucky to have one. Do any of you have a Roman Angel?
I know many people collect them.

Pink Saturday is new to me. Your angel is very pretty. She is good to keep out year round or she could be used somehow in a Valentine's display.

Melissa,
Your angel is lovely. My Mother collects angels and I believe she has one very similar to this one. I love the jar candle next to it? the pretty pink tassel just dolls it up! Very pretty. I'm like you, I don't have very much pink anything in the house. In the mid-80's when I first was married, everything in my house was done in pink, tan, green and navy. Weird color scheme, but some wallpaper border was my inspiration so it worked. Glad those days are over! LOL!

I don't have a lot of pink either, until I started looking! Pink is all around me, and I take my camera everywhere and amazed at the pink I find while out and about!

Beautiful angel, Melissa. Lucky that you got one before it's retired. I also like your pink candle holder, it's very romantic, perfect to add to a Valentine tablescape. And hooray for having the same office wall unit from Ashley. My dh and I both love it too, it is so practical and has so much storage....Christine

Hi Melissa---Welcome to Pink Sat! I don't have much pink either--that's what makes it a fun challenge each week! Your angel, however, is lovely!! I would have to be very careful with her in my house because of our curious cats!

It appears you are an animal lover, too! I got a kick out of the "Mouse" in your buttermilk pie photo! I've posted lots of extras in my photos--unintentionally! :)

I so enjoyed reading your blog and looking at your wonderful home!

Glad you joined in on Pink Sat!! Dana
