This is my first time participating in Blue Monday.

Our master suite is decorated in tranquil shades of
blue and is different than the rest of our home.
Accents are in silver, black and chocolate browns.
The paint is called Misty.
It's by Martha Stewart found at Sherwin Williams.
It's a contrast to our dark furniture from Haverty's.
The ivory bedding is made by Thomasville.
This desk matched and is from the Bombay Company.The tasseled bench is from Lowes.
The anniversary frame was handmade by Kristen.
Our 10 year anniversary is coming up this Friday.

Beautiful, Melissa. I like the contrast between up and downstairs. I think we don't get as tired of the same colors. Blue is condusive to sleep and resting, too.

I love that you shared with us where you found your pieces~it always amazes me what you can find at local stores and you probably saved quite a bit not buying the desk and separate chair at the furniture store.

I've been meaning to do a post, but I had a root canal on Tues. and have been on pain meds ever since. I've been dealing with this tooth for several months now. My dentist is sending me to an endodontist. He thinks there might be a crack that he can't see. I just hope they can fix it soon, they pain meds are making me a little loopy!

And...both of our bedrooms being in the blues and browns...how funny!!! I just love the feel of your bedroom...it's gorgeous!!! I love your soft and romantic Master Suite. So lovely. We do have very similar style and tastes! Lately, I have had a desire to add more blues, teals and aquas to my decor. I am experimenting with these colors a little a time. I want to add a greenish-blue to my family room for Spring. I have a new framed oil painting and it has touches of that color in it so that was my inspiration. I'm sure you will see a post around April showing the seasonal transformation. LOL!

I am wanting a change I think in our bedroom when we do the new floors in there ( good time to repaint when all is out etc.). Even though I have never been a blue person, I really like the silvery blue with browns combo.
