Flaunt Your Red

Hello Everyone!
It's time to flaunt your red!
I have touches of red throughout our home.
It's my favorite color hands down.
I love the pop it gives to a space.
This deep burgundy leather chair and
ottoman came from Sams Club.
I really liked the nailhead trim.
Here is my latest red find.
It's a bee pillow from Kirklands.
Thr trio of pillows came from Kohls.
A red brocade runner is draped across our mantle.
This tuscan sunset print has warm shades of red.
The red valance is way up high in our foyer.
The wine prints came from Kirklands
and the leaf plate from BB& Beyond.
I love the vibrant red against our dark granite.
The tuscan grape canister set was ordered
from the Touch of Class website.
The other one is from Sams and was the
inspiration for our kitchen color scheme.
I bought it years ago with biscotti inside.
I always hoped to decorate with it one day.
The guest bath shower curtain and rose towels.
The upstairs niche with a flower arrangement.
The red roses are in our guest bath.
Both from Kirklands.
A tropical palm print and a rose print in our guest areas.
The iron scroll clock and candleholders
are displayed on a corner shelf.
They both came from a local pottery
store that has now closed.
It had great home decor'. I miss it.
Instead of home decor'.
I thought I would share my favorite red items.
My shiny red cell phone & hot tamales candy.
I can eat an entire box at once even
though my tongue starts burning.
I should quit doing that for a few reasons.
Next in red is our pet betta named Mars.
He is the coolest fish with blue eyes.
Has anyone else ever seen a blue eyed betta?
His bowl sits in our office and he watches me blog.
He says feed me!
Have a wonderful week!

I have red towels in my bathroom and of course a red comforter that matches my red and zebra panel curtains. So yep, I love red too. :) Thanks for sharing your reds. Have a lovely day.

So many pretty reds. I have to tell you something funny..I purchased Biscotti in a blue and yellow jar at Sams years ago, and it was the inspiration for my kitchen color scheme! Who knew that biscotti containers from Sams could provide such decorating inspiration? I can't believe how well your pretty canisters match your container. I love that "bee" pillow. laurie

I remember when you posted photos of that beautiful leather chair and ottoman on's one of my "all time favorite" chairs!!! I just love the curvy design lines of's truly unique! And your new bee and fleur de lis pillows are just gorgeous with it! I shopped Kirklands all the time when I lived in Texas, I miss having them here in Colorado! They have the prettiest things and at very resonable prices! Of course I love all of your pretty wall art with touches of red but that pretty Paris rose print that you have in your guest bath really takes my eye!!! Such pretties!!! I love it all, Sweetie! Hey Melissa, happy Friday!! You have some really pretty red pieces!! I love that chair & ottoman, it is so unique. I know I have told you this several times, but you have such a beautiful home. You have done such a wonderful job decorating it, and making it feel so warm and inviting.

As I was scrolling down through your post I noticed I have several of the same things as you. I have several pillows that are made out of the material as the three pillows grouped together. I have the same wine print, but it is on a canvas. I have the same rose towels in my bathroom. And, as you had mentioned before we have the same rose print. That is so funny!

Well, I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I almost forgot to mention to you how cute I think Mars is. I want a fish now….

Hi Melissa! You are just my most favorite blog to visit - I really mean it. I get so much inspiration from your decorating. Your reds are just beautiful! I have a funny Kirkland's story - made hubby drive me over an hour away to get to one, cause I was having Kirkland's withdrawal - only to get there and find out it had CLOSED!!! No worries though, I got to another one this past weekend on our way home from a weekend getaway to Gettysburg.

Hi Melissa :)

No, I would never judge you. Not everyone can deal with or even likes living in an old house. It's not just about that, but something much deeper and I'm just trying to raise awareness. I guess people just don't get it, but I can't turn my blog into a fighting ring, so I'm letting it go.
