Hello Everyone!
It's time for a brand new event called Sunday Favorites.
It's hosted by one of the sweetest bloggers
you will ever meet Chari at Happy To Design.
Please pay her a visit and view all the participants.
Do you have a favorite post you want to show us?
Maybe we haven't seen it before...Here's your chance.
Repost it for Sunday Favorites!
One of my favorites was my toppers post!
I love toppers and use them everywhere.
Join me for my tour of toppers.
I have also added a few new ones.
All the photos are clickable.
Entryway with a large iron topper above.
It was my first ebay purchase.
Formal living room with two toppers.
The view into the family room
you can see I have used three.
The newest bird topper is from Lynne's shop.
HOME plaque words are from Home Interiors.
A wooden topper leading into the kitchen.
I ordered it from the Touch of Class catalog.
A new iron topper in the kitchen dinette area.
I ordered it from ebay.
Grape scroll topper used above the stove.
It's also from the Touch of Class catalog.
An iron topper leading into the dining room.
It's from Kirklands home stores.
This metal topper is new and is in the laundry room.
It's above the door to the powder room.
This piece is from Michaels. It's above the washer and dryer.
This large iron topper is in our master bedroom.
It's also from Kirklands.
A silver topper used in the vanity area.
It's from the Touch of Class catalog as well.
The upstairs hallway has a collage with a sign used as a topper.
My newest find at Kirklands and it says
"There's no place like home." It's signed by Dorothy.
Do you use toppers in your home?
Have a wonderful week!

Melissa, your home is beautiful. You have a great collection of toppers. One time I paid a decorator to come to my home (for one hour). She just walked around and gave me ideas...she said toppers are a great way to draw the eye upward. I confess that I haven't done well collecting them. Better go hit Kirklands!

Melissa, I love all of your toppers. You always find the neatest ones I've ever seen, then you have such a very special knack of displaying them just right. What great inspiration to see these again. Your home is so beautifully done. Hugs, Marty

It is so funny you did this post today. I had just been looking at your old post for some inspiration to a problem I am having with a doorway in my living room. I love all the toppers you have chosen for your home...each one more beautiful than the next. You have given me alot of great ideas!!!

I have a little something I would like to send to you...a surprise!!! Since I am kind of new to blogging I am not sure how this is done. Can you let me know if this is O.K. and how to get it to you? Just let me know on my blog...maybe e-mai? Thanks.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend...I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello my friend! Sorry I haven't visited lately, I've been traveling and working and working and working! I hope all is going well with you. I've been enjoying this lovely weather too! I just love living in North Carolina. Now, about your toppers! They are all fabulous. I love each one and how you are displaying them. So stylish! I just had Mr. Panache hang a new topper over my entry door in the foyer. I saw a monogramed topper at It want to get it and display it over the entry door on the outside! It's made for indoor or outdoor use. You might see that on a blog soon :-) Kirklands is also one of my best haunts for home decor. I might have to take a trip to see them soon. Have a wonderful and blessed Sunday. See you around this week!

Hi Melissa! Wow -- your home is Sooooo beautiful -- I just love how every little corner has been thought out and decorated. It truly reflects YOU and the love and care you give it. I love to see that!

Love your toppers, too -- and they do put the finishing touch on a wall or doorway, don't they? I like them all, but I love that one in your laundry room, the blue & brownish-gold one -- so different!

I'm glad you re-posted this one; I wouldn't have wanted to miss it. Best... Cass

Thank you for your love about My Little Love. I just adore both of my Shih-Tzus. I too, had sworn no more pets once our cocker Chloe was gone. But I knew my heart would just ache, so went out and got Jorja about 3 months before we lost Chloe. I am so glad I did. And then as for Harley - my husband just had no choice about a second dog after I named him that! HA!
Aren't those little teeth just the cutest? LOL
HAGD! Hugs.

Helloooo Melissa! I know I missed you too! I love the new look of your blog - so elegant! You already know how I feel about your toppers - still think my fav is the one above your laundry baskets - something about those colors! And the new one from "Dorothy" is so cute! I also really like the one above the door - leading to the powder room, maybe? and how about the one over your bathroom mirror? haa! You know I would take ALL of them if I could. Also loved the post down below with your rich, beautiful paint colors. It makes all the difference. I promise to not be a stranger anymore...thanks for welcoming me back! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, dear friend. :) ~ Laurie

Hi Melissa, I remember this post because I loved all of your toppers! Love your newest Kirkland's topper too. I saw it and picked it up when we were in Kirkland's in Branson. I couldn't think of a spot to put it at the time, but am sure I could have used it somewhere. I also love the topper above the baskets, that one is beautiful! You've done good girl! Chari's "Sunday Favorites" was a great idea. She is such a sweet lady. Still busy in the yard! Poor Kevin has been busting his butt for the last week. I've never seen him work so hard! This is the biggest project we've EVER done. It's finally starting to take shape. We are having some trees put in soon. Kevin said he just can't dig anymore! lol....Can't wait to show you guys the finished (for now) project. Kristen

Melissa, The toppers are gorgeous! I just sent you a email through etsy...about the tassel...however..I just phoned my hubby and told him not to drop off that package at the post office...I just don't think the green I used is the same shade as your family room! Maybe I will send you a picture of it first...I will probably need to change the greens. I will figure out something. Nancy

Thank you for the sweet comment on my bedroom Melissa! I loved your post on toppers. I'm here checking it out for the second time. You have me wanting to add them everywhere. We have higher ceilings here so I find myself wanting to fill in the space above doorways a bit. Those are just the thing. Maybe I'll put one on top of my front door so visitors can see it as they walk up. So many possibilities! I hope you are having a great week so far.

Hi Melissa :)

What a beautiful addition to your rooms! I especially like the last one :)

In answer to your question... Annie's bedding is hot pink, but the picture makes it look dark. What wouldn't with walls that color?! LOL

p.s. (can I do that...a p.s. I mean?)
Anyway..I am wondering where in the world you got your header over your stove? All of them are just beautiful! You have lots of wall to use them on and I do not..but..boy..I could find room for that one over the stove. Tear out a wall? Build a new house? :)

I...shall...return!! (someone famous said that..was it General McArthu?) anyway..later then..
