Hello Everyone!
Remember the niche in my previous post?
Well here it is now all spiffed up in red.
Thank you very much for all of your feedback.
You had some very creative ideas.
Overall painting it was the easiest way to go.
I added old paint and ting to the flower arrangement
The large flower prints I wasn't using.
That's it!
I think it looks completely different.
Nothing like shopping our own homes for updates.
Do you like the changes?
Do you like the changes?
I have a red throw and what I call the fire pillow.
It looks like flames to me. It's from Marshalls.
It has red brocade flowers in the design.
Red flowers and hanging plates are from Kirklands.
A red and black eiffel tower tassel.
It's from the Marine Corps Ball of 2001.
I still have this red beaded dress. Great memories!
We have been preparing this sugar
free dessert for a month straight.
It's really easy and delicious.

Hey Melissa*! I love all your pretty reds, and I especially love the picture of you and your handsome hubby*! What a beautiful couple you are. (sigh) _Ashley ~
Melissa, you've done what I've always wanted to do. You've painted that wall red, and I have always longed for a red room. I started to do it in our house about fifteen years ago, and my painter talked me out of it because I had a west facing room in Florida. He said I would always feel hot. So I did it Lafayette Green instead. But still, I love red! Love what you've done and loved seeing everything you showed us today!
XO,
Sheila :-)
WOW! What a difference with the red paint. Beautiful.
I've been having trouble loading the pictures on your blog (I have slow dial up) but finally got it to open. Everything looks so beautiful in red. You do a great job of decorating.

Melissa,
You look absolutely beautiful in your red evening gown. Isn’t it fun to have the type of party you can go all out for? Now on to important decorating matters. Nice improvement on your niche, it looks very chic painted red. I however, think your Kirkland’s pillow would look much, much, much better at my house. I have not been in Kirkland’s for two whole weeks, but I did peek in the window. ~Cathy~
Hey Melissa,
Not a problem about the issues you are having on your "follower". I've had some strange issues with blogger myself lately! Ugh. Hope you have a relaxing and wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Michelle :)
Melissa, the nook is lovely! The red is fantastic- not overpowering!
