Hello Everyone!
It's time for Met Monday at Between Naps on the Porch.
Here is our kitchen dinette area before.
After!I recently purchased new draperies.
They are called Richfield and are from BB& Beyond.
I bought them in gold and it was a perfect match
to the paint called Applesauce Cake from Lowes.
I decided I like leaving the cafe style valances in the center.The red paint is Cooper Molero Fandango Red at Lowes.
They have a leaf print design with burgundy accents.The bronze leaf finial rod is from Lowes.
I don't buy patterns but I decided to try a new style.I am really happy with the results.
It makes the room feel warm and cozy.

Beautiful drapes, Melissa! Love this Before and After! :-) I really like the pattern and the contrast of the drapes against the red wall color. And they work sooo wellwith the gold color, too.

They create a wonderful frame for the window area. The entire nook looks elegant and finished. I love the texture.

Ohhh Melissa...you know how I love your dining room!!! Girl, your new drapes are perfect...I don't think you could have had any custom made to be any more perfect for this room!!! They really do match your wall color so well!!! Ohhh yes...I love them!!! You did good, Girl!!! I love the deep rich gold fabric with the pretty burgandy leaves...sooo pretty!!! And of course, you know that I have to say something again about your beautiful furniture! I just love your dining set...the mix of the wood with the beautiful decorative metal...ahhhhh!!! I'm just so happy for you Sweetie...that you found the perfect drapes!!! Yeeeehawwww!!! Feels so good when it comes together so well!!!

Your house always looks perfect. Makes me realize how much work I need to do to mine. Thanks for coming by to check on me. I've been so busy with so many different things. Right now, I'm dickering w/ my insurance company on a plumbing leak, trying to help at school w/ some year end activities, and getting the baby's room ready, all so I can spend half of June & most of July at the beach. I don't know when I'll get to blog again, but I do think of you all & miss you. I hope you're doing well. I think you need to work as a decorator. If you're like me, my house is almost decorated & I need a new project - SOMETHING TO SHOP FOR! Take care & keep in touch!

Why thank you for your sweet comment about my front door. I do like it too. Before we put those in it was so dark inside and now it is nice and bright.
I really like your new drapes. I think they make the red on the wall pop even more. Or it might be because that picture was taken at night. I think they look classy and elegant, yet comfy and warm. Good choice!

Good evening my friend...your new drapes just make the whole room pop...Now I did enlarge and I really loved the scroll in the drapes it matches your chair and side table and candle stand...you always do a beautiful job of decorating girl..Love the red and gold walls...I want to do my DR in the red but its so high and big I can't do it myself and also I have wall paper that I need to take off first...every time I look at it I wonder what I was thing in 96 when I put it up...of course it was the in thing then...Now I never do fads that I have to live with any more for years..ha ha!! How have you been my friend...Thank you so much for coming by and seeing me...You know I alway love it when I hear from you...Yes its been a real busy 2 weeks for me..I wished I could rewind it and start all over again...I was even going to delete my blog the other day because I can't get caught up and feel so bad...I love visiting everyone its the real thing I have to look forward to...I had to laugh at my Grandson hat just got out of the marines Joshua Kyra's Dad...he read my post about his cousin being in the Army and told me what Army stood for with the marines...was Aren't Ready for Marines Yet...I am sure your DH knows all about that ha ha!! Josh says Army training is like a boy scout camp compared to Marine training These boys just crack me up...Don't care what branch their in I am proud of all our young men and women...I fly my Colors of being an American very proudly and alway have...Girl I have all my Daddy's medals from WWII, plus his German Luger he brought home...I come from a service family so guess thats why all my Grandson join up...Good grief girl I wrote another book here...you really have an effect on me ha ha!!
