Cheerful Guest Room

Hello Everyone!
This week I am joining an event
over at Kelly's Korner letting us
show where we live room by room.
Pay this southern ladies blog a visit to
view all of the other participants today.
Our guest room is done in vibrant shades.
I just adore warm color!
The paint is called Rutabaga by Martha Stewart.
The furniture is from JCP and the bedding is Wamsutta.
The corner palm tree is from Kirklands.
The urn lamp is from Target.
I added palms for a tropical feel.
The corner shelf holds fun accessories.
The window lets in lots of light during the day.
Dorothy's sign There's No Place Like Home
is the finishing touch to the welcoming room.
Have a wonderful weekend!

It's beautiful. Anyone would feel right at home staying in that room. Do you have overnight company often? We don't have people stay all that much but when we do, there is no place to put them! I have friends coming next weekend and I think they'll be sleeping in my son's room. I'm hoping in a few years we can finish off our attic and I can have a real craft room/guest room.

I love the lamp on the side table. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Yes, I did, right above a guest bed and I hope to post it soon. I know that may sound iffy. But the headboard had a little dip - just waiting for it. Besides, it will remind the company of home and not to out stay the welcome.lol Just kidding!

Melissa, thanks for checking out the patio! Glad you like it. Kevin is really proud of it. He's been on his laptop looking at all the comments.lol...Coco is pretty small. We think she's about 14 yrs. old. Still kickin! I had a cat named Smokey that lived to be 20. We had to get rid of the stray. She attacked Sassy! Long story, but I think she will make a great pet for someone who doesn't have other pets. She wanted full attention. I was sad for a while, but I think it was for the best.I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Kristen

Hey Melissa! I'm loving that palm tree from Kirklands! That is so me! In fact, I'll look for one this weekend! ;O) I just stopped by my blog - haven't checked it in a while, and thought I'd let you know I'm having another girl. I bet your sister is excited. It makes it easy b/c I have alot of stuff I've never consigned/donated. I had a post ready to post on Easter, and things were so hectic before we left for Disney that I forgot to post it letting everyone know, so I never put it up. Thanks for checking in, and I hope you're doing well!
