Our guest room is done in vibrant shades. I just adore warm color!
The paint is called Rutabaga by Martha Stewart.
The furniture is from JCP and the bedding is Wamsutta.
The corner palm tree is from Kirklands.The urn lamp is from Target.
I added palms for a tropical feel.
The corner shelf holds fun accessories.The window lets in lots of light during the day.
Dorothy's sign There's No Place Like Home
is the finishing touch to the welcoming room.

I love it! That corner shelf is to die for!
Very pretty!!Of course I love the colors. Everything pops against those walls. The paint color looks alot like mine from the pics. I also used Sherwin Williams, it's called harvester. Another wonderful room!! Kristen

Love those palm trees! I guess you know I like palm trees though. I have a few in my yard and one here in my home office (well I don't think its really a tree but it is a palm plant). Your house is so beautiful!

It's beautiful. Anyone would feel right at home staying in that room. Do you have overnight company often? We don't have people stay all that much but when we do, there is no place to put them! I have friends coming next weekend and I think they'll be sleeping in my son's room. I'm hoping in a few years we can finish off our attic and I can have a real craft room/guest room.

Yes, I did, right above a guest bed and I hope to post it soon. I know that may sound iffy. But the headboard had a little dip - just waiting for it. Besides, it will remind the company of home and not to out stay the welcome.lol Just kidding!

Melissa, thanks for checking out the patio! Glad you like it. Kevin is really proud of it. He's been on his laptop looking at all the comments.lol...Coco is pretty small. We think she's about 14 yrs. old. Still kickin! I had a cat named Smokey that lived to be 20. We had to get rid of the stray. She attacked Sassy! Long story, but I think she will make a great pet for someone who doesn't have other pets. She wanted full attention. I was sad for a while, but I think it was for the best.I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Kristen

Melissa...Thank you for coming by and seeing my little Kyra...is she not just darling...I could eat her alive..I hope you had a great weekend my friend...Now we did a car show in town on Saturday very hot 100..I was dying so had to run in and out of the cool stores ha ha!! Broke my tooth on the side right at the gum...have to go have it surgery on friday to remove it OUCH!! he gave me Happy pills for it YEA!! So now I look like a squirrel storing my nuts for the winter ha ha!! Never thought I would look forward to the dentist but I am for sure this time..Hey maybe I'll lose some weight not eating...which I don't need to do right now...I think I will be taking a little blogging break this week...who know what I'll type under the influence of drugs.. ha ha!!
