Some Little Changes

Hello Friends!
I went shopping this past week and I thought
I would share photos of my new finds.
Let's see what I found.
Here's a little sign for our master bathroom shelf.
It's from Kirklands. I added the ribbon and stand.
The silver stand is from Marshalls.
I find all my decorative ribbon at Michaels.
I added candlesticks, glass orbs and a little box.
This is for the family room table.
The candlesticks are on sale this week for $7 a pair.
Plus I had a coupon. They have all different styles.
Can you believe that price? Do you have a Kirklands?I found a fleur de lis night light.
I just couldn't pass this up.
Look at this!
Bow pillows for the dining room chairs.
An exact match to our paint colors.
I have been on the lookout for pillows to
display in these chairs for a long time now.
They were marked down to $7 plus I had a coupon.
I don't think I could even make them for this price.
Plus I don't sew.
Yes, another Kirklands find as well.
You would think I work for them or something.
You may remember from my previous posting on
signs I told about the one I ordered from Susie. I added the ivory ribbon and the stand.
See if you can guess what this project is?
It's going to be completed soon.
I hope to show you for the next MM post.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Melissa,

Look at all of these pretty things! I really like the pillows. I bought some black damask ones from Ballard's for my porch rockers and I set them in the dining arm chairs one day when I brought them in and love the look. I think I need to get some more! Your Kinkaid is lovely- did you know the national Kinkaid archives are here in Monterey? I haven't been, but maybe I ought to check it out before we leave. And I love the initialed plaque! I'm going to chew on that for a while to see if that's what I want for one particular room.

Your comments are so sweet and I can't wait to see your photos. I had so much fun going through the album again. We watch our video each year on our anniversary- it always makes me laugh because my dad tried to give me away too soon! :) I need to add a link to an anniversary book we add to each year.

Re: SJAFB- I'm grateful for a commander that goes with his gut and ministers to his people regardless. Our very good friends are in that squadron, and it could have just as easily been him. I know you "get it." We still haven't heard on the next assignment. But, I did get a settlement on the furniture and so I can get it fixed 5.5 months before we pack out again! :)

Have a good night, friend!!

Hi Melissa,
Thanks for dropping in my blog. Hey and early Happy Birthday to you too, yes mine is Aug. 8th. I plan to party with girls that day and go to the Hot Blogust Night party in Snohomish to meet even more blog buddies. It will be fun.
I think I will do a give away in honor of my BD too, so you and I will have to sign up for each others, lol.
You have found some neat things lately. And I will have you know, that your bedroom with blue in it is part of my inspiration for our master bedroom change.

Hello thank you for stopping by, it was great to have you over for tea.

Yes, nursing school is going to be difficult, I am almost there only about a year to go, however there is a waiting list here in Arizona, so I am receiving an Associates in Child Family Studies while I wait to finish my nursing career. College is such a fun experience at the age of 31, you can sit back and enjoy learning at a whole knew level.

Again thank you for your kind words and your visit, come back any time.

Cheers,
Heidi

Hi Melissa,

I love when people post about shopping and how they use their finds. And I LOVE how you make a personal addition to your buys with ribbon! It's so cute and adds so much. Can I try this??

No Kirklands around here. I think Steinmart may be the closest, do you think?

I really like the dining room pillows~they are a sweet touch.

Keep posting your shopping trips. You give us great ideas!!

Have a wonderful weekend, Melissa!!

Hi Melissa!

I really wish a Kirklands store was near me as I love each item you purchased. I was able to shop at a Kirklands once, when I was visiting family in Arizona, and I saw so much I would have liked to buy but only bought one sign, as I was thinking about luggage restrictions.

You really find just the right accessories.

I'm looking forward to your birthday give away ... happy birthday in advance in case I am away when you post it!
