Christmas Joy

Hello Everyone!
I'm back from my bloggy break.
We had a busy week and yesterday was my hubs birthday!
His gift from me was a crackberry...oops I mean a blackberry.
Yes, he is officially obssessed with it. He's a tech nut.
We are planning to decorate our trees this weekend.
I did order a new frame from Kristen I thought I would share.
Check it out.
It's a JOY Christmas tree frame with festive ribbon.
I have ordered many frames from her and this just
may be my new favorite. The details are amazing.
Look at the precious NOEL frame she included for me.
Thank you Kristen! I like them displayed together.
I added a red candle and garland.
I have my eye open for a new festive table runner.
I also wanted to share with you my Christmas ornament
exchange gift I received from Morgan at The Fountains.
She is very kind and generous. I just adore it.
She out did herself and mailed me glitter gold ornaments.
It's all Chestnut approved. I will have to keep an eye on him
for sure. Why do cats like Christmas trees so much?
Underneath the pretty paper were 4 ornate gold orbs.
They are unique and lovely.
I like the gorgeous spirals and gold sparkles.
Thank you Morgan! I will treasure them.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello sweet Girl...

They do say that "absence makes the heart grow fonder"! I missed you, Darlin'!!! Hope you had a restful blogging break!

So your honey had a birthday...you'll have to tell him I said Happy Birthday!!! Russell's birthday is coming up on the 27th. Hehe...how nice that he's enjoying his "crackberry"! While the fancy blackberry isn't really Russell's "thing"...he does have his vices. Anything mechanical or audio...and he's in his 7th heaven!

Girlfriend, isn't Kristen just the most talented lady? I have admired all of your beautiful framed art and pretty bows forever now! I love your newest "JOY" Christmas tree frame!!! Ohhh...and those pretty ribbons and bows are to die for!!! Love the beautiful vignette that you have created with your new pretties...the Christmas arrangement in that beautiful frenchy planter is gorgeous!!! Ohhh yes...your home will be stunning all decked out in its Christmas finery...can't wait to see it!!! I have started...barely...but you know how slow I am...I may get finished before Christmas gets here! Hehe!

Well Darlin'...so happy that you stopped by! I really enjoyed hearing from you...I missed you!!!

Love ya,
Chari

Hi Melissa, I'm glad your back! I don't think I could stay away either! Thanks for posting about the frames...you did a great job fluffing out those bows! I try to keep them from getting too smashed, but those boxes are not quite wide enough. Looks like you're getting started on the decorating! I've been doing Christmas a while now so I feel like it should be almost over...lol. I'm going to try to start my house on Sun. I think I might be free that day!! I'll probably do the tree and a tutorial on the tree topper. I've had several other ladies ask me to do one too. Well, back to work...I still have several things to make for my show on Sat. Thanks again! I'm glad you were pleased with the frames!! Kristen

I too, am going to do some decorating this weekend. So much to do. I wanted all the trees up before the grandkids come here for Thanksgiving on Thursdy. I wanted them to walk in and just be so wowed by it all. A real winter wonderland.

Thanks for sharing sweetie. Have a beautiful Friday. It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas at your house too. Country hugs...Sherry

Hello Melissa,

Welcome back!

Thank you for the sweet comment you left me about my neighbor. Things have been quiet for almost a week now. Let's hope they stay that way.

Shelties are the best dogs. Bob is absolutely the sweetest dog that I've ever owned. I need to get some pics of him up on my blog. It's cute that yours was named Tara. I love it! If we ever have a daughter, I was planning on naming her Tara from Gone With The Wind.

By the way, Kristen has the best frames. I'm addicted to them now. I've already purchased two from her.

I can't wait to see pics of your house decorated for Christmas. I'm sure it will be gorgeous!

Have a great weekend!

Hi Melissa, I've used the battery opperated lights on my parent's staircase before.I think they have the same problem as you, with a short rail on one side and no plug in. I can't remember where I got the lights last time...maybe Dollar Tree?? I just tucked the battery pack under the garland, but be sure and leave the switch on the outside so you can turn it on and off. Hope this helps! I just got back from setting up for my show. Everything looked as good as it could, I brought alot of my own tables for display out of my livingroom. They only gave us one 6 ft. table. That wasn't near enough. I'm off to bed, I only slept 2 hours last night!! I'm about to fall over! Talk to you soon. Kristen

Melissa! I was wondering how are those gorgeous ribbons attached to the frames? Chestnut and trees? Yes, Kitty has to have a spot left empty under all three large trees or she'd make her own! It kind drives me mad, especially in the living room tree which I do a village under in all pink, white and crystal! But low and behold there is kitty all spread out in the lower right corner! I usually take a lacy cloth and puddle it up for her to lay on, at least its cute! Hugs to you both, Lori
