Hello Everyone!
I hope your Christmas was merry.
We did not travel this year and did have a quiet one.
I do miss my family in Florida very much and have
many travel plans coming up for 2010. I can't wait!
I received a Kirklands gift card from my in laws.
Most of you know it's my favorite place to shop.
Join me and I'll show you what I found.
It's a new kitchen console table.I had a table here before but moved it to the guest room.

That's a really beautiful little piece, Melissa! I like that it doesn't take up a lot of room, but it looks like you'll be able to store some linens and dishes in it {plus decorate the top}. Enjoy it!

Sweetie that console is absolutely exquisite. I love the color, and I so love the iron scroll work on each side. Makes you able to display things to add color to each side of your center area. I love it.
I love your nook area with your table, and love the color of the floors. How pretty it is. A happy home makes for a GREAT cook.

What fun! My console came from Kirkland also! A while back though. Your new piece looks fabulous!
What a fabulous gift! Such great taste you have. And I love the red roses in the striped vase. That is a neat look. I have a few old vases I may try masking off and spraying with stripes. I like the graphic punch of that display. New dishes? Go for it! Let the merry and bright continue!
What a great gift! Some people don't like receiving GC's but I love them. Then I can get what I want. Love the console - who couldn't use more storage. It's beautiful!

Hi Melissa - some think a gift card is too impersonal, I say they are PERFECT! What's more thoughtful than allowing someone to choose something they really love? And I love what you chose, I have seen this oiece there before and thought about using it as a console table in my bathroom for extra storage. The piece is so adaptable if/when you ever move. Very nice and so elegant. I love your kitchen and your clean and shiny wood floors. I have the same in my kitchen but with three puppies it is hard to keep it clean and shiny! My husband bought me a buffer from Oreck and it does get them clean but five minutes later the dogs are in and it is dirty again!!!!

I am so very jealous and let me tell you why! I just found out about Kirkland's like a couple months ago, and every time I visit family in TX and TN ..... we stop in at Kirkland's. We don't have them in WA, and I swear my entire house would come from Kirkland's if I lived near one. THAT IS JUST GORGEOUS and love your decorating style!!

I'm sorry you were missing your family at Christmas ... sometimes it is tough to be a grownup, isn't it? No, really -- I mean that! Christmas is a time when I think we all would like to be kids again, or at least be with our families. But sometimes it just doesn't work out.
Dion sends his fondest regards! He is amazing -- he can eat pretty much anything, and does, and is fine. He makes me NUTS because he can open just about anythng and climb just about anywhere, and he can be so sneaky. He stole the gingerbread right out from under our noses, and hid under the table and ate it with us in the room!

Melissa the one thats 6 months old crawls and was into within everything within his reach...I kid you not he was under my stove as I was trying to cook on Sunday ha ha!! He almost tripped me 2 times while I was cooking and his mama is brain dead and just sits there texting her friends instead of watching the little guy I think I lost 5 lbs just running after him all day ha ha!! I have not a clue what it is about new mama's these days...and to think she going to be on her own when Jacob gets deployed....what a nightmare that will be then ha ha!! We've been out of town since the day after Christmas. Just got home and now we are vegging.
