Lead Me To Your Door

Welcome Friends!
Does your home say welcome or come on in?
Curb appeal is very important to make your
home stand out. Try adding a path, flags, trees
and flowers to give your home some pizazz.
Join me and I'll show you our front exterior.
This round red path leads the eye to the entry.
We added it in a curved design for interest.
The recycled rubber pavers are found at Lowes.
Don't forget accent lighting placed around your yard.
This highlights special trees and dark corners.
A vibrant mix of flowers is always nice to see.
~Ah! We finally painted our porch rails again.
Fresh paint shows you care about your home.
An "M" mat, topiaries and door basket for interest.
I added the metal wall art last year as well.
The twist topiaries are from Home Decorators online.
Dress it all up for your guests!
A japanese maple tree is good luck.
Personalized garden flags are a fun touch of whimsy.
I purchased ours at a local store that has now moved
from here but I have seen them at Kirklands as well.
A close up of the colorful flowers.
They make me happy when I see them!
Add a rocker to invite guests to sit and stay for a chat.
Would your like sweet tea or lemonade?
I think I'm going to add an outdoor rug here.
This is my first succulent plant to care for.
Do you know anything about them?
Have a wonderful week!

Your front entrance is not only beautiful, it is warm and welcoming. My hubby was just saying the other day how he wants a Japanese maple. Yours is in a great spot. They are such a pretty color.
Good luck with the succulents. I believe they are easy to grow. Not too much water, though.

Your home is so beautiful, inside and outside! Now that Spring is here my husband and I have been trying to get back on track with the curb appeal. Thank you for the inspiration.

Your home is welcoming, indeed. I love succulent plants. Very little care required (which is why they thrive at Brynwood). I have jade plants that now bloom once a year - and they're huge at 25 years old. I leave them alone until the leaves look a little less "fleshy", which is my cue to add water. Plump leaves mean they're happy. Full sun might give them an initial sunburn, but they'll bounce right back. Good luck!

Hi Melissa, The outside of your home is so inviting! I've always loved that walkway with the recycled rubber. Your flowers look so pretty, I used the same colors on the back patio. I just love reds, yellows and purples together. I'm sure Kevin wouldn't appreciate pink anyway on his Manly patio!lol...I've never had a succulant plant before but have always found them interesting. I bet yours will do great! You have definitly created a warm and welcoming entryway!! I'm off to do a post...Have a great day! Kristen

Love the trees by the front door. I have planted all sorts of plants at my front entry way but nothing will grow there due to to the lack of sunlight so I think I'm going fake! I need to find some that look really good though.

Everything looks great. I really like the red pavers. I need some kind of pavers around my house, I will have to look into those. I love the rocker and fern on the porch too!! So glad it's time to get outside and enjoy the weather!!

Hi Melissa, I love your front porch and yard. I've been trying to spruce up my porch area too, tricky when you have kids hanging around it (Kristen dropped red jello on my pretty rug last week which I had to try and scrub off!!!). I added some candle sconces that I got at Hobby Lobby this week, I'll be sharing some photos on Wednesday. I hope you get a rug you like, it will really make that area cozy :)

Very beautiful and inviting! I would expect nothing less from you ~ :-) I am looking for an outdoor rug (as well as inside too!) and 2 comfortable chairs for my patio. The rockers I had were just too tired but the mntc man where I lived wanted them so it helped us both. Love, love the flowers! I'm thinking I'm going to take a break from the inside & boxes and plant some flowers this week. It will do my heart good!

Thanks for sharing!

Have a wonderful week ~

Your home has great curb appeal, Melissa. The curved walkway would make me want to walk up to your door, so inviting. I love the wicker and fern too. I'm hoping to add a fern to our porch this summer. Still too cool here for plants except bulbs and pansies.

Thanks for stopping by and becoming a follower. I've been a follower of yours for some time, and love stopping by.
