Faith & Wicker

Hello Friends!
I'm back! I hope all is going well with you all.
I had a really nice time on my blog break.
I was searching on ebay for something else and
and ended up spotting this pretty faith wreath.
It's always when we are not looking that we find "it".
Join me for a few summery changes I have made.
A warm and welcoming wreath for the front door.
It has all the colors I love plus some feathers.
I really liked the message on this sign.
Faith is being sure of what you hope for.
The full view of the door.
I bought the topiaries from Home Decorators catalog.
Oops! I need to paint the front door again soon.
I finally found a wicker basket of ting
to cover the odd plug next to the armoire.
Here is the full view.
Now...
If only the A/C vent was somewhere else.
I changed the green tray to wicker for summer.
That and the basket were both $7 a piece a Ross.
I have really found some neat things there lately.
Have a great week!

What a great wreath, Melissa! I love the Faith sign. I'm so glad to see a full shot of your front door. It is just like mine and I am planning on painting it black 4th of July weekend. I want to get primer and an exterior black paint. Can I ask what you used?

Hi Melissa, I love your pretty wreath, what a great find.
Have you thought of spray painting your a/c vent the same color as your wall? I did that to my 'speaker outlets' on the wall above my entertainment center so they would blend in better - just a thought.
Hope you're having a nice Sunday, that bloggy break sure went by fast.. a week feels more like 3 days half the time ;) Our summer is speeding along, can't believe it's nearly July already.
sending hugs

Melissa, good to have you back. Love that wreath on your door. I was repainting my door every year until I used Sherwin Williams exterior paint in a high gloss. I painted it last year and it still looks freshly painted. Just a helpful hint.

Melissa, I really like your new door wreath! Especially love the feathers. I have no front porch, so I have to watch what goes on my door.
I like to hide plugs and outlets, too. Your basket w/the ting does a greatjob of that. Now, I paint or wallpaper all my wall vent covers. Would you consider doing that to let yours disappear? Easy peasy fix!
hugs, Sue

Melissa, Your home looks beautiful. I had that same problem with our house in Japan where the A/c vent was right above my crystal chandalier (which I loved to have live candles in during a dinner party)Gosh! I so miss shopping at Ross... We do not have stores like Ross (or Target) in Sweden. Here everything is so expensive. Have a great day! Greetings from Sweden

Hi sweet friend...

Welcome back from your break! I hope that you had a great time...sounds like you did, I mean, who doesn't have a great time shopping! Hehe! I love your new "Faith" wreath...it's so full, just gorgeous! You know that I love all of those colors and the pretty feathers too! It really does look beautiful on your black door! You know, my front and back doors are both white but I've been thinking about painting them black. Our home is gray with a blue metal roof...not sure if the black will look good or not...hmmm, maybe red? What do you think? Well...getting side-tracked here...oops! Anyway, I love your new basket with the pretty orangey reeds! It covers that plug nicely! Hehe! Don't you just hate those! Now...you got a great deal on that wicker tray...it's gorgeous, Melissa! Sooo summery too! I really do like it! I guess I'm going to have to start checking out Ross!

Well sweet girl, I do hope that you and Alex are doing well! What have ya'll been up to this summer? Russell just went back to work yesterday...he took another vacation week last week. Ohhh my, we were busy little bees! Trying to catch up on a few projects at home...like painting exteriors, etc. Lots of work but I sure like the results! Hehe! I'll talk with you later...have a wonderful day, Darlin'!

Love ya,
Chari

I love that saying, Melissa. Your door looks wonderful and welcoming.
I hate cords and vents but what's a girl to do. I try to hide them when possible.
Glad you had a good break!
Enjoy your the rest of your week, friend!

As usual, your home looks beautiful! Instead of painting the front door (if it only needs it at the bottom) just put up a kickplate. That is what I did to my door and added house numbers on the middle of the door and it made all the differnece.
