Be Our Guest

Hello Everyone!
I thought I would show you Chestnut's room.
Well actually it's our cheerful guest room.
He just *thinks* he owns it the big ole' stinker...:)
Hi! Come on in!
It's okay I won't bite you.
I added a console table and created a family photo gallery.
The drum shade lamp is from Kirklands.
Aren't I fluffy and handsome?
I weigh 22 pounds and am almost 7 years old.
One day I will tell you my entire story.
A wrought iron shelf holds decorative accessories.
Here is the double closet.
The paint is a cheerful yellow called Rutabaga.
The bedding is made by Wamsutta.
Does this pillow look familiar?
I bought the same one in brown for our master bedroom.
I really loved the scroll design. It's from Kirklands.
Scroll candleholders hold spice scented candles.
It is a wonderful scent and smells just like fall.
I am ready for it this year more than ever.
I know most of you feel the same way with this heat.
Dorothy's sign is the crowning touch.
Thanks for touring my room everyone.
Have a great week!

This room is so pretty, Melissa. You know I love red in a room. Chestnut is bigger than Rusty ever was. I think the most Rusty weighed was 14lbs and they said he was obese. Chestnut is a really big boy.

Your guest room is so inviting and pretty, I doubt I would want to leave.
And I loved your healthy snack post:) I need to be diligent like you were just about a year ago. I still am so proud you made the change and hope too for myself.

It looks like Glenda has the same thoughts about guests not wanting to leave:)

It's a beautiful room! Very inviting. That cat is gorgeous! I had a cat once named Otis who was almost as big as yours. I love a big furry kitty. He would sit propped up in a chair and looked like a Buddah with his big belly. Thanks for reminding me of him today!

Dearest Melissa,

Funny how cats really think it's their room; they literally claim it as theirs!
Amazing his weight, I have a tiny 6.5 lbs Asian-cat girl but the others are heavier but not that much.
The room, regardless of the heavy-weight body guard, looks very inviting! Perfect for moving in with you...

I love the red in Chestnut's room, Melissa! I mean, the guest room! : ) Love that lamp and I have a similar pillow to the front {lumbar} one on the bed. Love the pattern on there.

Oh, Melissa! Can I come for a short, well maybe a long visit? :) Your guest room is so beautiful! You really have great style! I would be hard to leave that pretty room and little Chestnut looks like he owns it! Yes, he does! :) He's very handsome by the way!
Be a sweetie,

This room is so warm and cozy...Chestnut seems to think so too! He is such a beautiful cat!

Coco likes to lay on my dining room chairs. I just thought of something funny...Last Halloween my parents came over and after we had just finished eating my dad got up to give out candy and he had a hairy butt!! LOL! I forgot to clean off the chairs! We laughed so hard! Coco sheds REALLY bad, I think it's because she is so old! I need to brush her more... Anyway, I just had to tell you that.

I shipped out your items today, the arrangment will need a little bit of a fluff at the top. I had to bend down some of the sticks. I hope everything arrives safe! I packed bubble wrap all around the rooster...but you never know. Thanks again! Kristen

Stopping in to say Hi too, how is that hubby of yours? Hope you have been well. Been such a busy Summer here, I hardly get time to blog lately or even read.
Not sure if you saw our bedroom redo, your blue and brown inspired me in some ways.
We are so happy to have it done, looks so pretty now!

What a gorgeous bedroom!!!! Any guest would feel welcome, pampered, and special by being led to that room. In fact, they might want to extend their visit by several weeks.

Oh, as a military wife, you might enjoy reading my post today. I have started a new feature on my blog where I highlight a friend's blog every Friday, and this week's friend does a military tribute every Tuesday. I'm sure you would love to meet her.

Have a lovely day,

I love the colors you used because they show such depth and richness of beauty.
I have very good news...Your Mr. Chestnut looks exactly like my Jumpin' Jack Flash used to look when he was Chestnut's age. Flash just turned 27!!! The vet calls him his favorite senior citizen. He also weighed 22lbs at 7 years of age. Your Chestnut has a long and bright future ahead of him. Yup, I said 27!!!

Great! I'm glad you recieved your box already. I hope the arrangement wasn't too smashed. I know it probably looked scary when you opened the box! lol...Yes, the earings were just a little something extra. I made myself a pair too and really like them. I wear them all the time, even without a necklace.

I'm glad you are pleased with everything! I've got to get some more things listed...had a busy week! yay! Kristen
