My Kitchen's Crowing

Hello Everyone!
How was your weekend?
I went on an organizing frenzy and started cleaning
out all our desk drawer files and computer photos.
I love to be well organized. I just breathe easier. Whew!
Our kitchen started out with a grape theme and now
I have been adding rooster decor slowly but surely.
I showed you my red table from Kirklands recently and
I have updated it with a rooster arrangement and tassel.
Kristens Creations made them both. She is very talented!
I have bought many items from her. Pay her a visit to order.
I thought the warm colors were perfect for the fall.
I am definitely ready for it.
The jar is filled with cilantro/basil potpourri and it smells delish.
The red rooster plate and frame are right at home.
Roos are peeking out of and an open display shelf.
The mini rooster lamp casts a warm glow at night.
Don't forget to decorate the top of your fridge!
I added another lamp, floral and a wine rack.
Have a wonderful week!

Love the lamp on top of the refrigerator. Would have never thought to put one there. I guess you have it pulled in behind the refrigerator?

Hi Melissa,

Your kitchen looks so nice. I love Kristen's Frames. I have several of them. Her floral arrangements sell out so quickly that I haven't had a chance to buy one from her Etsy store.

I know what you mean about being organized. I feel much more relaxed knowing that my house is in order.

Have a great week!

You're right. I DO love that red table! Melissa, I'm so upset. I had lost 8 pounds in a month. (First month of trying also.) Inexplicably, I gained 2.6 pounds this week! And I'm hungry and I haven't eaten anything different. And I've even worked outside more.

Love all your decor Melissa, I love the Roosters and often want to buy some to start adding to my kitchen but now I'm on a 'no spend' kinda thing! I always have decor on my fridge top but never thought about putting a small lamp up there... I may have to add one now :) It's back to school for us tomorrow, we've been enjoying our last weekend just hanging out at the pool and this morning I made brunch for the neighbors :)

Melissa, your kitchen is amazing. The lamp on top is perfect. I admit that I don't decorate up there. I have always made my poor husband keep his bottle of bourbon in that cabinet up there...to make it less accessible to boys. :)

Things are very busy at school. I really don't know how much blogging I'll be doing. We'll just have to see how things settle in.

Hi Melissa, your rooster arrangement and tassel look right at home on your new table! The lamp looks great on the fridge! Great idea. I might put one on top of mine. I just have a basket on top right now...kinda boring. I've been redoing a few things in my kitchen over the past few days.

I also got a new coffee table! I had no intentions of buying one, but my neibors had a yardsale and were selling theirs. I couldn't believe it when she brought it out. I've always liked it in their house. It gives my room a new look! I was planning on posting it tonight, but I've been out all day and I'm too tired. Hopefully tomorrow...talk to you soon, Kristen

I hired 1 person and I am in the process of hiring a second so I am all about the organizing and order systems right now. I could use a rooster to get me up before the kids to get more done! I don't have exposed space over my refrigerator, but if I did I'd want it to look as pretty as yours.

Now could you please come to Durham and organize MY house?
