A Suite for Sweethearts

Hello Everyone!
I thought I would show you around our master suite.
It's done in calm shades and is a contrast to the rest
of our home. It's nice to have a tranquil bed and bath.
Join me!
The carved furniture is from Haverty's.
Here is the custom *M* rug I won from Darlene.
What a nice giveaway she hosted. I was thrilled to win!
My secretary desk is from Bombay Company.
The wall paint is called Misty by Martha Stewart.
Here is the triple dresser and two windows.
The bedding is made by Thomasville.
The drapes are from BB & Beyond.
The large armoire is my favorite piece.
I added a large blue plate and candles up top.
Another view of the room.
All photos enlarge when clicked.
My cozy reading nook.
Who doesn't love decorative pillows?
The more the better...:)
Have a wonderful week!

Hello my 48-pound lighter friend! You can't imagine how I admire that. Really!

Your bedroom is beautiful. Blue and brown -- one of my very favorite color pairings. Love your furniture as it suits the space so well, and looks classic with a bit of "up to date" tweaking to the design. Nice!

Oh and I miss Bombay Company too!

All the best -- Cass

Very pretty! Gorgeous bed! I love Havertys! Our master suite was from them as well, though not nearly as ornate. We went to a kingsize bed so no longer use the Queen poster bed we had. I do love poster beds though, and yours is one of the prettiest I have seen in awhile.

Plus...I have the same dancing picture in our master bedroom!!! They say art should speak to you and that picture brings tears to my eyes for some reason!! Mine has a black frame. Love your room!! Hi Melissa!

Your bedroom is so pretty! I'm glad you posted this--I didn't know about this series at Kelly's blog, and you inspired me to join!

It's so funny, Melissa--you and I use a lot of the same colors in our houses--lots of reds, golds, greens. . . and yet we both use different, cooler colors in our master bedrooms. Your room is just lovely!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! It's supposed to get cooler, I heard. . . I sure hope so!

I remember seeing this ~ very nice! I am about to decide on my bedroom decor ~ about time, huh? It's been so difficult for me but I do think the approaching fall & winter seasons have helped a lot. I just do better with my standbys of darker shades, animal prints, etc. :-) Maybe some pics soon....

Hope you have a blessed weekend ~

I know what you mean about running out of room...I have to get rid of things to fit more in!lol.. It's a good thing this house is not big though...keeps me from spending so much money! If there is a spot to fill, it bugs me until it's complete!

I am making a little bit of everything today. I've been selling the rooster tassels, scarecrow tassels and pumpkin arrangements, so I am working on more of those. Although, I have alot of new charms for the frames, I will make some tonight. I'm going back to Dallas next Sat. I'm trying to get ready for a show I'm doing up in NW Arkansas. I have also ordered alot of cute Christmas gift items. I will be selling some of them on my blog soon. I'll keep the watch for you until you decide. No hurry at all...Thanks! Kristen
