Pull Up A Chair

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to my home office...:)
Notice I said *my* home office. Funny how rooms
change identity as you use them differently and that
has certainly happened. My hubs *office* is at work
and he has a new Macbook so he rarely uses it.
This is now my official blogging room. Love it!
Maybe I should paint it a warm red.
Pull up a chair and join me for a tour.
As you enter you see our wall unit desk from Ashley Furniture.
All photos enlarge when clicked.
The desk chair is from Sams Club.
Another chair for the corner view.
I added a crown pillow from Kirklands.
The plaid drapes are from Target.
The bookcase is from Lowes.
The large red vase and sticks are from Target.
My husbands uniform storage closet.
Our fish babies. We have a silver hatchet fish
that is almost four years old. He's a tough old guy.
Yes, we name our fishies. Don't laugh...:)
I tired to get picture of Corona our orange
betta sitting on the desk but he was hiding.
One more view of the room.
The neutral paint is called Shortbread from SW.
~*~
I have been very busy this past month.
I'm sorry I haven't been around to visit all of
you as much as I would like. I really appreciate
your comments. Thank you for leaving them.
I'll be by as soon as I can.
Have a wonderful week!

Hey there ... love your (or is your hubs?) office! LOL. That's a great fish tank, too ... very relaxing, I'm sure. I'd love to have a spot as cozy as this to blog away. Thanks for sharing another beautiful room of yours! Hugs, *Becca*

Your office is gorgeous and relaxing! We had a "real" office for a about a year while our daughter was away. We're back to the hall desk now, but it sure is great having her home. =)
Anyway, I love all of your finishing touches in your room. It's very pleasing to the eyes.
Blessings,
Teri

Hi Melissa! Thanks so much for being such a faithful friend and joining the party again this week! Your office really reminds me of ours right down to the L shaped desk and plaid curtains! :-) Yours is waaaaay more finished than our is though which is why I've never shown mine! Beautiful job!

That office is great. I love the l-shaped desk. I notice that you've pulled the curtain into the room instead off to the side. Is there a particular reason? does it frame the view better or make that wall look better> Love the fabric, I'm so into plaids

What a lovely office to spend time in blogging. We need that space of our own to gather our thoughts.

I love how you always seem to find bargains and yet your home is so lovely.

What a great space!!! I am insanely jealous. I laughed at the "uniform closet" because dh has one too. They have soooo much stuff. BTW, Indy names all his fish too. His tank currently has about 15 and they all have a name.

Sandy thank you for your question and nice comment. The curtain pull back did not fit going in the other direction. It does seem to give a better overall view out of the window as well.

Happy Fall! ~Melissa :)

I just love that nice desk! You have such a cozy place to blog...I love your fish tanks too. Everytime I go to the pet store I try to think where I could put a fish aquarium, they are so beautiful and relaxing. I would love a saltwater tank someday. When we go to the beach, snorkleing is my favorite thing to do! Oh how I loved snorkleing in Hawaii...the colors of the fish were amazing!

I'm glad you recieved the frame and watch today! I shipped them out Wed. afternoon, that WAS fast!! Glad you are pleased!! I bet it looks beautiful in that spot. Have a great weekend! It's work work work for me. I only have one wreath made for the show I'm doing Nov. 19 and 20. =0 Only about 20 more to go and that doesn't count everything else...lol. I'll get it done. Kristen

Hey Melissa! Thanks for stopping by and linking up - and also for leaving a comment! Love your home office. As you may have read, I'm working on my own - course yours is MUCH larger! I have been searching everywhere for brass lamp banding for my skirted desk - right now it's got a ribbon trim that just doesn't work. Anyway - thanks again for linking up - always nice to see you!

Good afternoon, Melissa! The chair pad is from Pier 1 Imports and the beaded garland is from Casa Bella. I have two strands wrapped together - one gold and one ivory. Would you like for me to check with the Casa Bella ladies to see if they still carry it? If so, let me know what colors and how many and I would be happy to send it your way.
Oh, that reminds me...no luck on the red rooster dispenser. Ron and I went on a date to Downtown Disney on Monday. We stopped at every Ross we knew about between our home and there.
Blessings from me to you!
Teri
