Hello Everyone!
This is the time of year to believe and dream.
I found these inspirational signs yesterday while
shopping for winter clothes at Cato for $3.99 a piece.
I'm all for decorating our homes how we feel is right for us.
I don't create craft things (I wish) or shop at expensive shops either.
I buy what I like and what makes me happy at the time.
I hope we all do this however this may happen to be. Be yourself.
*Believe and Dream*
That is my motto this season...and always.
Not only did I love what they say but they also match the room.
They have a sage green background with cabbage roses.
They sit right above the eye sore of the a/c vent.That is just fine with me. Nothing is perfect in life.

I had fun picking out a bunch of magazines to read.It seems like a good cold weather pastime.
A cup of hot green tea and fresh popcorn and I'm set.

Love those signs! Im not very crafty, either, so I love finding things that add to a home and make me feel good when I look at them!
I picked up a little block sign last year that says Believe ~ love these ones Melissa and they are perfect for your room.

Your signs are lovely Melissa, ya know I haven't been to Kirklands in a long time, I should go check out what they have as I love to add little things here and there too. Have you decorated for Christmas yet?
I haven't heard of Cato's actually! Did you get any winter clothes, I need to go shopping myself for some too and Kristen, I think we'll do that once school is out for winter break

I feel the same way that you do....decorate with what YOU love, not what is 'in' at the moment. I have always done that it and it has never led me down the wrong path.
I like your topiary tree next to the vent:) You and I have the same magazine habit.....Lots of them;-)
I'm getting ready to take my shower and then read some magazines myself. Yes, we should always decorate how "we" want and not follow the current trends and forget that. Your finds are beautiful!

Hi Melissa...I love your signs. I also love your way of decorating thoughts...I am the same way. THe way we like to change and tweak it is best not to invest a lot of money on those little things...besides they look fantastic paired up right. Very nice. I saw you joined Vanessa's and so did I today.

The signs are lovely and look really nice in the room. I always like special signs like that. They are a good reminder as to what life is all about. We have a sign in our living room that says Live Laugh Love. I try to remember that everyday.
Cuddling up on the couch with a cup of tea and some magazines is one of my favorite things to do in the winter too!

Oh yes, Melissa! I do believe and dream. Very cool signs. I was always going to ask you where you got your sign "there's no place like home". My mother is named Dorothy and I always thought it would be fun to find that sign for her.

They're a perfect match and I love the price tag!! :) Our NC house AC vent was like that in the living room, too- and in a walkway so I couldn't even put a pretty topiary in front like you did!

Pretty wall art and meaningful words! Certainly the time of year for believing and dreaming. I'm reminded of child like faith when I hear my 5 year old talking about flying reindeer and the North Pole.

I'm in the same boat as you are, Melissa. I can't make anything crafty and as I like to change things often, I can't afford to spend loads of money. I love the small area of decorative items in our local Cato's. I've found some sweet deals in the past.

Hey sweetie! You mentioned your eysore vent. Have you thaought about painting it? We painted ours the same color as the wall and you dont even notice it AT ALL. Easy as that :0)

I'm finally getting around to decking the halls of my home.
we'll be cutting our Christmas tree from the backyard this weekend when my college boy is home. That's sure way to get us in a festive mood.
Do you like playing Christmas music while decorating? For me the music welcomes a wonderful sentiment of the season to the air, as does the aromas of baking.
