Popping Up Pillows

Hello Everyone!
Aren't acccent pillows fun to add to a room?
They are one of my favorite home decor' items.
I'm always on the lookout for a new one.
Join me for a pillow parade!
The master bedroom has a mixture of blues and browns.
*All photos enlarge when clicked.*
The guest room is reds and golds.
A bench in the guest room holds more pillows.
Even a tiny leopard one.
The formal living room sofa holds a nice grouping.
I find pillows at many stores like Kirklands and Marshalls.
The bees and fleur de lis are two of my favorites.
The pillows on the new sofa in the family room.
The damask came with the sofa and loveseat.
I'll be taking in a cushion to Ashley to compare.
Thank you very much for all of your suggestions on the
orange color change. I'll let you know what happens.
If you missed the post about it click here.
The damask chair has a sage green mixed in it.
I added this color to make it pop.
My latest pillow find is from Marshalls.
An envelope pillow that matches the drapes in the office.
The bonus room is done in shades of blue.
I went with a circle theme on the pillows.

What a huge variety of styles to chose from!
Anyone can find a pillow to display.
Now I want a bench like this to display more pillows.
Precious huh?
The *Nest* and bird pillows from Pottery Barn.
So pretty!
Numbered and burlap pillows are all the rage.
I need to find a few soon. Love them!
Don't forget colorful outdoor pillows.
Spring is on the way!
Our gorgeous boy enjoying the pillows today.
~*~
Do I have a pillow obssesion? Probably...:)
Have you added any new pillows to your home?
Thanks for coming by and have a great week!

Well, I'm a pillow "freak" myself...I say a girl can never have too many pillows!

Today I started back on weight watchers (my post tonight). Please send good vibes my way that I can stay on track and lose some of this horrible weight. I've done it before and now that I'm older it is really important to stay healthy.

Thanks!
Judy

I do love pillows too! I think most women do but I don't know if men do so much! My husband loves to sit right on them and I am diving to save them! LOL

I LOVE those numbered pillows! I'm tempted to try to make them with burlap and paint on the numbers or letters. That might just be a project this summer!

Hi Melissa!

I love all of the pillows, but I absolutley am CRAZY for that kittie!!!

I do LOVE pillows, but I feel like I'm in a holding pattern with us trying to sell our home. I'll save all my new decorating ideas for our new house, I guess! Wow...what a pretty collection you have!

My obsession is making pillows. Or pillow covers for the ones I have already made! I follow a really simple pattern and hand sew them. For now.

I also like having a bunch of pillows on my bed. 7 isn't too much is it???

I am happy to see someone else with a healthy pillow collection.

I love pillows, Melissa! You've got such pretty ones. I literally have to stop myself from buying more. Not only do I not have any more places to put them, but I still have pillow forms at home waiting for me to make some!

Hi Melissa- I don't have a pillow obession, but I do believe I'm a little candle crazed! I love the pillows you have, but my husband would be pushing them out of the way all the time and leaving me to pick them up! I recently saw a picture with a sofa and many decorative pillows acrossed it and wished I could do that too! My problem is I have a pattern on the sofa so mixing in styles is a little more difficult!
As always I love your style! Hope the sofa dilemma works out! Liz

You're so funny! My daughter has a pillow addiction too. I like them and have a lot but I don't really think about them when I'm out shopping. She usually tells me, "You need that for _____ room."
Funny how we girls are, huh? :-)

Everything looks gorgeous, as usual! I love different shapes too.

Hope you're having a great week! It's bitterly cold here & wayyyy too much ice.

I just bought a beautiful one from Ross and a friend of mine sent me the matching one to go with it. I'm running out of places to put them. I need to stop buying them and making them but it's hard!*smile*

This reminds me that I must start shopping for outdoor pillows & cushions! If I don't hurry up they'll be gone.

Linda (More Fun Less Laundry) said...

Yes, Melissa, I admit that pillows are one of my weaknesses! I find them all over the floor as the Mr. moves them to sit. He knows I don't like them crushed! I have many and I change them for the seasons. It is such an easy way to get a different feeling. I am about to redo my bedroom and I'm trying to decide whether to go with the layered pillow look I have now or to try a simpler (easier to make) approach! Now that I see the new ones I want more! You've got some beautiful ones Melissa! I'd like to "borrow" the fleur de lis and napoleonic bees! *winks* And I'm totally drawn to all the grainsack and numbered rough linen pillows. I don't really have a place in my home for them but that doesn't stop me from wanting em! Vanna!

Hi Melissa, I am slow getting around lately. This darn cold is dragging me down! I layed around all day...ugg.

Pillows can make or break a room in my opinion! They really do play a big part and yours are all just beautiful! Sometimes Sassy will get up on the red sofa and knock all of the pillows off...I just can't stand it and immediatly put them all back on in perfect order. lol...now that's pretty bad! My room just doesn't look the same without them.

I love the bird pillows you posted...they were beautiful. I also love your bee and fleur de lis ones...gorgeous!!

Boy, you sure have a lot of fantastic pillows!!! I love the little hints of style & color they bring into a room! I will say i bought that Pottery Barn "Nest" pillow & was very dissapoinnted in it. I returned it within a month of having it, because it bunched all up - i guess if you don't use it - it might be fine - but mine is a house of "USE it, or LOSE it"! xoxo
