Spring Is For Chicks

Hello Everyone!
We have had gorgeous spring-like weather.
I hope you have nice weather where you are as well.
I've created a tablescape using our newest
everyday dishes from JCP. They are designed by
Chris Madden and are called the Corvella collection.
Join me for a tour!
*All photos enlarge when clicked*
Aw, the sweet baby chicks are from QVC.
The topiary is from Ballards.
Hello blog friends..:)
The coffee mugs have nice details.
This has been a great set to own.
The plaid napkins are from BB & Beyond.
The white scroll napkin rings are from Pier 1.
I'm ready for Sunday brunch. Yummy.
I could eat breakfast foods for every meal of the day.
The S/P shackers are adorable too.
I just love the versatile sage green color.
A view of the dinette area.
The placemats and woven chargers are from Ross.
Cafe style drapes and curtains give a welcoming feeling.
The dishes came as a set of 16. I bought the extra pieces.
They are marked down to a good price.
My spring giveaway is this coming Sunday.
If you missed the sneak peek see the previous post.
See you then!
~*~
Thanks for coming by and have a wonderful week!

Your tablescape is beautiful and has all the elements of spring. The pale green reminds me of blooming leaves we are all waiting to see pop up after all the snow. Your yellow chicks are simply adorable! They look as if they could start running on top of your table. I can't wait to start my spring decorating, you gave me great ideas! Thank you!

How inviting! I love the colours you have chosen for your dining area and those dishes are spectacular. My favorite time of year is Easter, for the spring weather and all the adorable chicks & bunnies. I look forward to decorating and I will be peaking in on your posts over Easter.
It is a starting to feel like Spring is just around the corner.
Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5

Hi Melissa,
Beautiful in every way! Guess what? I have those chicks, too! In fact, my next post is going to show a baby chick in one of the "primitive" bird cages I got from Home Goods.

I absolutely adore your plates. I would SO love to have that set. Your table is so warm and inviting.

Glad the weather is warming up...spring is on it's way! YIPPIE!

Thanks for sharing! XOXO ~Liz

The 'Ross' store you mention, is it mostly for clothing and has housewares in the back, similiar to TJMaxx? I see several bloggers mentioning this store but not sure if I've seen one in our area.
As always, I love your decor and the fact that you have the nightlights in your outlets. Touches like that make a home special :) I am not ready for spring, as I'm such a cold/cool weather person. Here in the South, an early spring means a longer hotter summer haha Have a great weekend!

Melissa what beautiful and elegant dishes…..I think you and others might tire of me repeating I LOVE GREEN!The color you are right is so versitile and spring like. In the fall it will go nicely with deeper reddish tones too. The salt and pepper are adorable and baby chicks….you could have a wonderful design business for table top and expert advice! Thanks for bringing the promise of spring into view!

How refreshing to see a Spring tablescape! The spring chick theme is very fun. Your new dishes are gorgeous - looked at the JC Penny site and I'm tempted! I like the green topiary you used as a centerpiece too, it compliments the dishes/napkins nicely.

JCP has had some good stuff- I had not shopped there for some time and rediscovered them when I was looking for new bedding for our room. I found some coverlets there for $30 and free shipping! Your table looks lovely!! You've done such a great job with the house, Melissa- someone is going to be thrilled with all the love and attention you've given it.

Melissa, this is the cutest tablescape. Those little chicks are darling! We're ready for spring as well.. Can't wait to get outdoors and spruce up the deck...

Kristens Creations said...

Thanks Melissa! I really like them...they really do update the kitchen. Maybe next year I can get new countertops...we'll see!

I have thought about painting the kitchen green several times. The only thing is that since the ceiling is painted too, I just didn't know if it would make it look smaller...and honestly I am trying everything to get out of painting walls!! Hate it!lol...Although, after I get the other stuff painted if I still need to paint the walls I will. I have even looked at green paint chips! We definitely think alike! We have been in this house almost 8 years! I can't believe it! It's definitely time to paint and update some things...

I am thinking black hardware too...Have you seen the birdcage hardware? I'll send you a pic and see what you think...

I will definitely show the glazing process...it's not hard, just takes some time.
