Do you ever look around your home and realize
you buy the same type of decor over and over?
How does that happen? I guess we all buy what we like.
Join me for a tour of urns and decorative boxes.
I bought this matching set of urns last week at Kirklands.They matched the colors in our master bedroom.
A decorative ivory box is sitting next to them.

A bronze leaf box is displayed in the hallway.
A metal scroll box holds cotton balls in the master bath.It's from Kirklands.
A painted flower box is displayed in the dining room.It's from the Lamps Plus online catalog.
A bronze striped box and tiny red one are displayed in the foyer.They are from Kirklands and Cato.
A jewel box style with a tassel is in the formal living room.Another Kirklands find.
A fleur de lis box from Ross looks nice in the living room.
A mini green box sits on the bombe chest in the family room.
I recently bought this one at Ross for the new coffee table.The glass knob is actually green but it doesn't show in photos.
Another Ross find for the family room.
This large urn style box came from Ashley Furniture.I have it displayed on the dinette in the kitchen.
An amber glass potpourri box is from Kirklands.
Another urn style box is displayed in the powder room.
Don't forget about fabric covered boxes to store mementos.They usually have them at TJ Maxx, Home Goods and such.

Everything looks so nice. I love your blog! I almost purchased the urns in photo #1 last week. I think they would look perfect in my master bedroom as well.
If I showed my urns, boxes and covered boxes there would be an intervention...I buy every box I see that I love at those places you named...along with about 10 other stores as I can always use them in my gift basket business....ITs a sickness...You and I have so many of the same decorative boxes...

I am loving those urns...so elegant. I always find myself buying things and getting home to find they fit right in with something else I already own or in some case match perfectly.
I love the boxes...I need to find a couple more to add to my bathroom, master bedroom...uh, everywhere!

Beautiful boxes Melissa! I am drawn to the same decor as well. I find that I love things that have movement (curvy) and color.

My husband Bob loves boxes. He has a lot of boxes. Most are empty but he will buy an interesting box any day of the week!
Oh you are so NOT alone my friend! I LOVE both boxes and urns! And I'm OCD over ironstone pitchers...I mean who needs 100 of them?! (Not platters etc...just pitchers) And art nouveau jewel caskets! I have multiples of the same ones and yet I'm still like a moth to flame over and over! *winks* Your boxes are wonderful Melissa! But when you find yourself (as I have) buying the same thing...selling said thing...then buying it again? Yes I've done that *sighs* Timne for some therapy. LOL! Vanna

Oh they aer all so pretty. The nice thing about urns and decorative boxes is that you can hide something if you need to. :) I have lots of apothecary type jars...and bird nests.
so funny I just bought my daughter a blue and a purple box similar to the first photo....she comes to me and says "you bought me urns?" silly kid. I think they are great!!!

You know what's really funny? I love decorative boxes & I only have one! I've noticed that I buy a ton of candlesticks. They seem to be everywhere in my house!

you have displayed some of the most beautiful boxes and urns in the more pleasent ways, their style of decor heightens their value, i remember buying such an urn from Switzerland when i went there on holidays 2 years back!!
