Sassy Spring Colors

Hello Everyone!
Who says spring colors have to be just pastels?
Our home is what you would call a fall/winter house.
I decided to just go with what I had on hand and I created a
sassy spring vignette inspired by the pretty weather today.
Join me for a tour!
A view of the vignette in our kitchen dinette.
*All the photos enlarge when clicked*
Mr redbird tassel is ready for spring.
I added dried hydrangea and a sugared pear.
I used what I already had.
I displayed a green dinner plate and tied it with
a polka dotted bow. Now it's dressed for the season.
The plump green bird is from Cracker Barrel.
Here's a good view of the plate.
I debated on changing out the florals and decided to leave them.
It's hard to add pastels in with warm colors.
Thanks for visiting today and always.
Have a wonderful week!

Your vignette is lovely. I like how you tied the ribbon across the dish.

My house also has mostly warmer colors and it is hard to incorporate pastels into that color scheme for spring decorating.

I agree, that bow on the plate is fabulous! Your vignette looks very springy and fresh.

Hi Melissa!

I know what you mean about warm colors in your house--your colors are very much like mine! But you've done a great job of making this vignette springy. I love the way you added that polka-dot ribbon--that's a great idea! And that little bird is absolutely adorable.

Hope you've had a great weekend and are ready for this first week of Daylight Savings Time! :)

Nice! I don't do pastels so I totally understand re: your color scheme. Mine is very similar and pastels just don't "work" or add anything.

Hope you have a fantastic week!

Melissa, Just gorgeous and I agree, I am not into the pale white pallet also. I love your plate and birds. What great ideas you always have to show us. The black polka dot ribbon is fantastic. I purchased some and should have bought 2 rolls. Love your sideboard in eating area. I think breakfast rooms are so great!Thank you, Emelia.
