Create Christmas Cheer

Hello Everyone!
How have you been? It seems the weeks are flying by for sure.
This always seems to happen around the holidays doesn't it? Whew!
This is the last Christmas for us in this home and I'm decorating light.
Join me for a tour!
Joy! I love this word. I found this sign at Tar-jay.
I added it to the powder room sink area.
Noel is on the other side. I'm really liking the lime color and plan to add more.
I hung a Santa tassle on the lamp and called it a day.
Easy peasy. You have to love that at this time of year.
I added my favorite Joy and Noel ribbon frames to the buffet table.
I hung my Joy to the World tassle and added the wooden red birds.
Done, and done...:)
They are handmade by Kristen. She is super talented.
Here is a close up of the tassle made by her as well. She is a wizard with ribbons.
The guest room joined in the festivities with a plaid throw and snowflake pillow.
I found them at Target during the last Christmas season.
The final touch is an M ornament hung on the lamp.
Simple but festive. How about you? How's your decorating going?
Stay tuned for my tree tour but first I have a Kirklands giveaway for you.
Have a wonderful week!

Hi Melissa...

Ahhh...your home always looks sooo beautiful, dear friend...but it's especially pretty all dressed up for Christmas! I love your "JOY" and "NOEL" signs that you used in the bath! I'm using a bit of that same color of green in my Christmas dining room this year. It just looks so fresh...bright and cheery! Ohhh...and I love, love, LOVE your snowflake pillow and pretty red and white checked throw! And...I love the sweet Christmas cardinals too! You have so many beautiful things, dear friend! Thank you for sharing them with us! It's always a treat!

Wow...bet it is exciting...thinking about Christmas in a new home next year! I have butterflies just thinking about it...and it's not even me! Hehe!

Well sweet friend, I hope that my note is finding ya'll doing well! Just in case I don't get back by before Christmas...wishing you and your family a very blessed Christmas!

Love ya,
Chari

PS...I am going to get to spend Christmas with my girls and grands in Texas this year! I'm sooo anxious to see them!

Melissa, I love all the Tar-jay finds...the little signs and the pillow and throw are so pretty. That has become my new favorite place to shop...you can always find something unique and reasonably priced. The bows are beautiful! I love the gold wall color in your guest room...its a great back drop color--everything looks good against it. The wooden birds are beautiful! You have such a good "eye" for decorating. But, something was missing....Mr. Chestnut! I miss not seeing him in your pictures! ;)

Melissa Miller said...

Aw, thanks Rosie! Mr Chestnut is doing fine. I was just thinking I should dress him up in his Santa hat or reindeer ears and take photos.

Hi Melissa. It's so good to see you posting and decorating again. It must be bittersweet knowing it is the last Christmas in this house, but looking ahead to exciting times with the move and a new home.
I love the little words. Very pretty. I bought a "NOEL" today at Michael's.
I am looking forward to seeing your tree. I just know it will be pretty.

I remember your red and white check throw on the bench at the bottom of your bed from last year. I did go over to our store here, but they were old out. I love checks and polka dots.
Your home is always looking great. Wish I had your motivation.
I am blogging still, but privately, as I am posting the family activities. I am hesitant to show their pictures
and daily activities as that is for them to do.

Hoping you had a lovely Thanksgiving !!
Connie :-)

Melissa, everything looks beautiful as usual. Your home always looks wonderful in photos because everything is so clean and shining--that really shows through! And then the decorations are the icing on the cake. Well, those darling tassels might be more than just icing--I think those are the cherries on top! :)

Very pretty! I love my tree this year although I continue to add a few ornaments when I find something I LOVE. It's very simple around here this year...seems to be a lot of simplicity in blogland this season and I like it. It's difficult for me to see a ton of money spent when the economy is like it is. Of course, it's none of my business what people spend either. :-) I always think that it could all come to an end for them in short order due to layoffs, companies closing, etc. Enough of that!

Kristen always does a super job doesn't she? I'm loving the lime green in all kinds of ways!
