Change Of Seasons

Hello Friends!
Are you out there?
It's me waving at you from my computer screen! Whew, the past month flew by and
I realized I did not blog at all. Thanks for your kind emails, comments regarding my absence. Nothing happened to me. I just did not feel like blogging. Don't even get me started on Pinterest though. I am hooked! Please feel free to follow my many pin boards and friend request me on my Facebook page.
~*~
A new season is approaching and I can't wait for cooler temps. It has been one hot summer.
Join me to see a few seasonal changes I've made around here. I'm staying *simple* this time.
An herb topiary with bronze ribbon from Marshalls.
Don't forget to decorate the top of  your fridge!
Mine is definitely filled with stuff. I realize I need to buy wine after taking this photo.
I bought a crock pot at Target for those cool weather recipes ahead.
We already made a pot roast and boy was it delicious. Here is the recipe.
It was on sale for $17 and I loved the pretty black and white damask print.
Our old lamp tipped over onto the floor and broke last week so I ended up
buying this candlestick lamp from Kirklands. It was on sale for $12. A steal!
I hung my cross tassle on it. I may replace the shade if I find something better later on.
I have been eating my fill of vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries this summer.
Add some whipped cream on top and oh my goodness this is a sweet, tasty treat. Yum!
I've already bought my bag of Dunkin' Donuts Pumpkin Spice coffee.
It's time for fall ... Are you ready? I'll show you my new "M"  pumpkin soon.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I missed you! I just looked at your blog earlier today to see if I missed anything. I totally know what you mean about not feeling like blogging! :) I wanted one of those cute crock pots when they went on sale just never made it up to target. I am sure they will go on again. Your new lamp is so pretty! Love the tassel on it. I have definitely been eating my share of ice cream this summer, I am ADDICTED lol.

Hi Melissa, always nice to see a post. Lovely fall touches, and I ordered some K-cups in Pumpkin Spice and had my first official Starbucks one. Wish I had a Kirkland's nearby. Two closed more than a year ago. xo

That's the prettiest crock pot I have ever seen! Your home is always so gorgeous :) Maybe we can start a support group for our Pinterest addiction, because I have it, too!
Cheers, Andrea

Hi Melissa! We all go thru those times. I missed most of the summer, as well; but, I caught you on Pinterest! Your new crock pot is so cute! Love the damask print.

Hi Melissa. :)

Your kitchen looks so pretty - which is not a surprise to me. Love that topiary up on top.

The crockpot is a wonderful thing to have. We have started using it to make pinto beans. Do you eat those? Yum...it might be a local thing.

I just read your big weight loss post from awhile back. It's very motivating. Since moving I've gained 5 pounds which I will attribute to stress and good tex-mex. Time to get busy again!

Hi Melissa!
My family & I are moving into a home soon with a similar kitchen. I was a bit stumped of how I will be switching my white appliance style over to steel....thanks so much for your very elegant inspiration.

Hi Melissa, It's good to see a post from you. The top of your fridge looks great! I might need a lamp on mine...might have to try that. I am so ready for cooler temps it's not even funny! It was 100 again today. This weekend it's supposed to be in the 70s. I cannot wait! Love the new crock pot. I am going to cook roast, potatoes and carrots in mine tomorrow. You can buy everything in a package including the seasoning at Wal-mart. I go for the easy stuff! lol...

Have a great night, Kristen

Hi Melissa! There you are and I've missed you. Well, we all get into a blog slump sometimes and that's okay. Now your home looks so pretty and that is a wonderful little lamp on top of your fridge. Your home always looks so beautiful.
be a sweetie,

So nice to hear from you again, Melissa. Sometimes we just need those breaks as kind of a renewal time. I've been going nuts around here with Fall decor. We are still tipping the thermostat in the triple digits, but I'm leaving that outside & chilling out inside with pumpkins & spice and everything Fall. Okay, now I have to get some of that coffee -- sounds yummy!

Hey, there you are! You have been missed!
My fridge has a cabinet over the top of it, otherwise I would have to copy your idea and get a cute little lamp for it. 'o)

The Dunkin' Donuts coffee sounds yummy. I'll have to give that flavor a try.

I really miss the Kirklands store. They have some cute things.

Love your new lamp and the way you jazzed it up by adding the tassel.

Flavored coffee is a weekend treat for us. I'll have to look for the DD Pumpkin one. It sounds delish!

I am ready finally ready for fall now too but still haven't quite started decorating, maybe this weekend. That coffee sounds delicious!

So good to see you blogging! Love, love all your Fall touches and specially your display on top of the fridge. So pretty! The crock pot is so cute! Can you believe I have never owned one? I think this may be the winter I try my hand at it. Pumpkin spice coffee sounds so good about right now! :)

Hi Melissa!
Sometimes, it's nice to have a bloggy break. I love how organized your house always looks. Like something straight out of Better Homes and Gardens. That Crock Pot is the same one I want to get for Brittany...love the design on it! Hope I can still find it on sale!

I was so excited to see a post from you. I see you on Pinterest, but missed seeing your home decor. Your crock pot is so neat. I didn't know they had ones with designs on them now. I'll have to go check them out.

Your new crock pot is so cute! I can't believe it was only $17! If I didn't already have a good crock pot, I would go snap one up. Haha

Melissa, it's so good to see you! Things are looking pretty at your house as usual. I'm kind of keeping things simpler this fall, too. Somehow I'm just not ready to get out all my pumpkins! Maybe because it HAS been so hot.

That crock pot is so pretty. Almost makes me wish my old one would break so I'd have an excuse to get a new one! :)

Hi Melissa,
I've been busy and not blogging much so thought I would check in with some of my old buddies (you being one of them). Glad to see that you are still blogging. Your home looks so inviting & cozy! I think everyone that use to follow my blog stopped since I haven't been persistant at blogging so if you can give my blog a shoutout. I just finished a bedroom that we turned into a den and I would love everyone's feedback. Also getting ready for a few more exciting projects. Take care & God bless you!

I've missed you and your wonderful posts, friend! I love how you've decorated the top of your fridge (and, yes, you do need more wine, lol). And, that is the fanciest crock pot I've ever seen ... just might have to buy one as ours is about to bite the bullet! Have a fabulous weekend.

Everything looks great, Melissa! What a cool crock pot ~ mine is a stainless look. Hubby picked it up when we moved and I gave my old one to my son. I can't wait to use it. I always make chili in it for the Sunday football games, but I want to try some new things this year. I'll bet that coffee smells delicious. I can't wait until some cooler temps are here to stay. It is so hard to get into Fall with it still being in the 80's!

Well, I've had a fan on top of my fridge all summer, along with the other decor. It's not that pretty but with the heat, had to have it. :)

I just bought some Caramel flavored coffee & creamer yesterday. I like the "real" thing in the mornings w/no flavors, however, in cooler temps I enjoy a flavored coffee in the afternoon.

Crock pots are so nice to have for simmering soups or other foods. I hope you enjoy this one!

I never thought to decorate over the fridge! Great idea and as always, your home is so beautiful! I've never tried Dunkin Donuts pumpkin spice coffee but I'm going to have to find some. I love PP spice - my favorite is Trader Joes and it's amazing in yogurt.
