Red Punch in the Laundry Room

Hello Friends!
I adore the color red! All shades ... it's the color of 'love' so why not right?
In fact it is my all time favorite happy color. It's cheerful, warm and says Christmas and
Valentine's Day all in one. So when looking for an accent color to update our laundry room
with a few weeks ago it was a no brainer for me. Red it was!
We painted our entire home interior earlier this year and the only room we didn't was the
laundry room. The current paint color is a sage green neutral called Heath by Martha Stewart.
They still carry this color by Glidden at the Home Depot.
The color blends well with all of the new paint so it was an easy decision to leave it be.
Take a look at the fun punch red gives this little laundry room!

"Live Love Laugh" sign - Michaels
red and turquoise ribbon, floral pins - Michaels
red vase - Marshalls
red, brown and turquoise scroll artwork - Kirklands
assorted colorful baskets - Michaels

It was an easy update and it makes me smile with it's cheerfulness.
I may add a red or turquoise wreath or "Laundry" sign if I spot the right ones.

I hope you all "live, love and laugh" through the week.
Enjoy the fall weather!

Melissa, what a happy space your laundry room is--and it's SO CLEAN! You would faint if you could see my laundry room right now. Actually, I ought to faint from looking at it. One of my college sons brought home dirty clothes and the floor is more covered than not!

I like your punches of red, especially that wonderful rug! The room is so cheerful, which is a great way for a laundry room to be. :)

I love when all it takes is a few new pieces and some creativity to totally change a room! And you did this...it's beautiful and I know it makes you smile when you're in there. My laundry room is in the basement...need I say more?!

Hi, Melissa! Your laundry room is just beautiful. I'm like you... I love red, but I don't like red roses. I'm weird like that. Anyway, your home is just turning out beautifully. Take care!

Melissa, I still love red too. Your laundry room is fantastic. It is colorful and perfectly clean. :)

I've been working on my laundry room too and red accents are definitely part of it.

The pops of red just add that zing that makes it lively in the laundry room! I am in love with those rugs! I don't think we have a Ross around here. I am on the hunt now!!

Hi Melissa, hope you and yours OK. Nice job ,of course! I love the rug, red vase, baskets. I found deeper aqua is "in" and would go well. I bought pottery and small sunflowers go well in it. Agree with Allyson, immaculate!

Pretty colors in your laundry room! Thanks for sharing. I am wondering how Chestnut is? I haven't seen him in a while!

Hello Barb,
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a kind comment. It's always nice to hear from you. Chestnut is doing fine. It's his birthday month and he is turning 9 already! Time flies. His photo is in the post before this one if you have time to check him out.

Happy fall to you!

Great choice on the red, Melissa! I think every room needs a little bit of red in some shade -- it just packs such a punch! I really like your gray-tone machines!

Absolutely Beautiful! I just have one question! Our laundry rooms appear to be very similar in size and design. Except mine looks horrifically functional and yours is something straight out of a model home. How do you do it????
