Summer Fashions

Hello Everyone!
What a summer huh? It's been flying by at record speed. Before long it will be time for
pumpkins and pecan pie. Today I thought I would share with you some of my recent
clothing purchases along with a few I plan to add to my wardrobe. Check them out!
A periwinkle blue belted tee from Target. It's so adorable on.
I paired it with purple jewels. It's has more of that purple tone in person.
A bright magenta tee with a crochet neckline from Marshalls.
I'll wear my hot pink plaid flip flops with it.
Target has the softest v-neck tees on sale. I bought the emerald green.
I'll wear it with lime green stone jewelry from Cato and a white ruffle cotton shirt.
A cotton blend tomato red ruffle tee from Marshalls. I paired it with silver.
This is a sundress from Marshalls! I loved the royal blue color and soft fabric.
This may just be my favorite fashion jewelry find ever... Love it!
Of all places this pearl ribbon necklace and bracelet set came from Cracker Barrel.
A jade green shell and red stone bracelet. Can you believe this cutie was only $1?
I found it at one of those little booths in the mall.
I'm hanging my tees in the closet by color. It's easier to pick out everything this way.
This sheer blouse reminded me of watercolors. Love it with the green capris.
I'm in love with this navy blue ruffled blouse. Crisp white capris, shorts, skirts...
They all work for summertime and give everything that pretty nautical style.
Orange and white chevron is in along with everything turquoise.
Hot pink and white with turquoise. Love this combo!
Yellow and bright blue capris. What really sets it off is the neon orange belt.

A chiffon aqua blouse with nautical style white shorts. Cuteness!
The last six photos are on my wishlist and can be found on my Pinterest board

Summer Style Quilt

Hello Friends!
I've started on my shopping quest to add aqua blues and ended up finding
a summer quilt for the guest room. I will have much more to share soon.
Stay tuned!
The guest room was recently painted this cheerful aqua blue.
I found the white and aqua leaf print quilt at Marshalls for $29.99. Love it!
Sometimes adding one little item to a room can really update it for the season.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Adding Aqua Blues

Hello Everyone!
I hope you all had a fun filled holiday. We ended up seeing a movie and going out to dinner.
We needed to stay indoors and beat this humid heat. I think I'm ready for cooler temps already.

I'm still on my quest to "lighten and brighten" our home decor room by room.
I have been thinking about adding another color as an accent to our family room and have
decided on aqua blue. It should go well with the existing ivory walls, leather and moss green.
After finding this pillow at Marshalls as my inspiration I'm ready to do more shopping soon.
I'll share the process as I find the look I'm after. Finally after six years I will change the mantle.
It's hard to believe but it really has been that long with the exact same picture and stuff on it.
Join me to see my starting point and some inspiration from Pinterest!
The last 7 photos can be found on my boards Wall Accents and Home Accessories.
I'm starting with ivory walls, leather furniture and the moss green accents.
This pillow is my starting point. It has the aqua blue color that I'm going to add.
Does it show on your screen? It may be hard to see unless it's in person.
Light cream has slowly been working it's way in this room as well.
I bought the light cream pillars at Ross.
Here is the mantle now. I'm ready to find new art, candles etc...!
This aqua velvet stool would provide extra seeating and add a punch of color.
I'm drooling over this aqua blue and stenciled armoire.
This looks like a darker aqua/turquoise painted piece. Pretty!
Maybe a mirror in cream would also work on the mantel? Hmmm...?
 Love everything about this!
I could add a tray of aqua glass to bring in the color. Easy!
How about some new lamps in aqua blue? Yes! I'm ready to shop now.
A wooden monogram could be painted aqua, tied with ribbon and hung.
I can't wait to share the before and afters with you! Inspiration can be found anywhere.
Who would have thought one little pillow would get my decorating wheels turning so much.
Have you ever bought one item that made you change a room?

Have a wonderful weekend!
