Little Lime Lamp

Hello Everyone!
How are you doing this fall so far? It's been beautiful here in NC. I can't complain.
~*~
While browsing Marshalls last week I came across an unexpected find. A little lime lamp
that I added to our downstairs powder room sink. I wasn't shopping for a lamp but that is
how it goes sometimes. I absolutely loved the color and since it was on clearance for $20 I
grabbed it. The poppy prints in this bathroom have lime in them and it can be hard to find.
Take a look!

I like the happy pop of bright color it gives the dark sink and entire powder room.
I'm not concerned that it looks retro-modern and the bathroom lighting has a tuscan style.
No rules ... decorate with what "you" enjoy in your home.
I'll be back soon with with my autumn jar decorations and a laundry room facelift.
 Stay tuned!

It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!

Hello Everyone!
What says *fall* more than pumpkins?
I have been slowly adding back some fall decor after my cleaning last year. While browsing Kirklands I found this monogram pumpkin in white. They also carry them in the traditional orange. Here is their link to the online store.

I just love this time of year!
I added green napkins and wheat bundles also from Kirklands.
This is on the buffet table in the formal dining room.
Monogram carved pumpkins on a chair. How cute!
Pumpkins on candlesticks. I'm borrowing this one for sure. So easy!

A mini pumpkin tree. Adorable!

How neat is this idea! It's a pumpkin address topiary.
Pumpkin porch topiaries and bows. I'm always a sucker for bows.
Check this out... sweater pumpkins!
Kristen has created a pretty fall vignette with a pumpkin.
Go by and congratulate her today. She has big news!
Liz is an amazing and talented fall decorator. Check her out!
It must be fall when all of the sweet goodies come out. Yum!

How cute is this? ... Spooky pumpkin chocolate strawberries!
Fall celebrations call for a pumpkin pie martini. Now I'm ready!
How about you? Do you decorate with pumpkins?

Change Of Seasons

Hello Friends!
Are you out there?
It's me waving at you from my computer screen! Whew, the past month flew by and
I realized I did not blog at all. Thanks for your kind emails, comments regarding my absence. Nothing happened to me. I just did not feel like blogging. Don't even get me started on Pinterest though. I am hooked! Please feel free to follow my many pin boards and friend request me on my Facebook page.

A new season is approaching and I can't wait for cooler temps. It has been one hot summer.
Join me to see a few seasonal changes I've made around here. I'm staying *simple* this time.
An herb topiary with bronze ribbon from Marshalls.
Don't forget to decorate the top of  your fridge!
Mine is definitely filled with stuff. I realize I need to buy wine after taking this photo.
I bought a crock pot at Target for those cool weather recipes ahead.
We already made a pot roast and boy was it delicious. Here is the recipe.
It was on sale for $17 and I loved the pretty black and white damask print.
Our old lamp tipped over onto the floor and broke last week so I ended up
buying this candlestick lamp from Kirklands. It was on sale for $12. A steal!
I hung my cross tassle on it. I may replace the shade if I find something better later on.
I have been eating my fill of vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries this summer.
Add some whipped cream on top and oh my goodness this is a sweet, tasty treat. Yum!
I've already bought my bag of Dunkin' Donuts Pumpkin Spice coffee.
It's time for fall ... Are you ready? I'll show you my new "M"  pumpkin soon.
Have a wonderful weekend!
